well, just an fyi, pools can kill small dogs if there isn't a very shallow area in the pool, like steps to get out. i've seen it numerous times as a pool cleaner and landscaper where a small dog like a chi falls or jumps into the pool and the water level is too far below the edge of the pool for them to get out. They just can't keep doggy paddling forever and they end up drowning. but death on contact with water? sounds pretty stupid.

@TheSammygirl08 All dogs cannot swim. Some sink to the bottom and have no idea what to do. (I've seen this) Also, getting out of the pool is something to learn, so, there is danger there.

Seriously, do you animal fanatics even think before posting? How many reports of this have you actually seen? Was it all just stories?

I'm fairly certain nothing happened to the little doggy. Having it soak in a pool for hours, maybe harmful. Having it stand "ankle" deep in a pool for a few seconds, not going to do anything cept get his fur wet.

lol guess not cause they breed and spawn in water so they're mostly attracted to humid areas such as pools and any little puddle of water that doesnt have a flow.

you could always try repelents...
