  • Both. Sad I've watched so many of yours to know.

  • I've voting for pus, based mostly on the mucos-y consistency & the lack of texture seen in your other fungal videos.

(I like playing Dr! Will we ever find out the right answer?)

  • "the final result" omfg!!! are you sure???

  • These videos have given me a strange new direction in life.

  • Alright, alright.. i can handle the earwax stuff.. but THIS.. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

  • 1:04

  • I dunno, taste it.

  • OMG that's sooo gross! Grabbing some popcorn so I can watch it again...

  • Do you have as much fun doing this as we have watching it?????

  • Why did I click on this!!!!!

  • I just looked up what inspissated means and wow that helped me understand this video much more. I think there IS a bit of fungus just for the fact that there isn't much moisture as noticed by the thickened pus. It could have formed from the moisture and heat that was present at the beginning of the infection. I think a pocket like that one on the right would be perfect conditions for a small bit of fungus to form. If not, then the infection is BAD!

  • I would agree with clarefairy in that it seems there is mucous mixed in with PUS I say... not fungus.

I do think there is a bit of fungus kind of hidden in that deep right pocket starting at around 1:27. It has that green cast and funny texture that fungus has.

This is a really interesting case. There seems to be lots of stuff in that poor person's sinuses!

  • I would say it was a fungus that has been there for a while and mucus around it, the humans natural defense is to create mucus to protect the body right???

  • Looks like both to me!

  • oh my god...

  • The frontal sinuses are badly infected and look like they have been for a long time! It does not have the blocky layers of fungus. I'm going with cheezy pus.

  • not a medical professional, but it looks like both: pus in the beginning and a fungal ball at the end.

  • @ jackoffsky......yes it was! It was for anyone who sees the god PRICK!

  • what is it in the nose of this patient?

  • I would say both. The very Rt hand forward pocket seemed like fungal, and possibly formed separately from the ispissated pus in the other chambers. But, if I had to choose one or the other... I would say pus all the way.

Is this a trick question? :) Awesome post, as always!

  • @megyerdon THAT WAS A GUD ANSWER..

  • @ENTENCYCLOPEDIA Seriously? Wow! I must be learning more from being one of your "Top Fans" then I realized. :) That makes my day! Thanks, Dr. J!

  • This isn't as settling as the ear wax videos...

  • Both.

  • @newone13073 the question was not for you dumb ass

  • I thinks it's fungus. Hasn't completely formed a fungus ball yet, but the fungus is usually growing in the mucus. So, I think it's fungus.

  • I dont know what it is, but I wont be eating tapioca pudding anytime soon...

  • Pus...even though the mucus removed by Dr. Janikram would indicate a fungus, the fluid left behind certainly indicates purulence. You don't get purulence if you have a fungus.

  • I say Pus

  • My opinion doesn´t count cause I didn´t study medicine, buuuuut.... it looks like fungus to me :D

  • looks more like pus

  • Looks like fungus to me to be honest, but I dont specialize in ENT
