Anybody interested in some new Commodore samples?
Click my name to view COMMODORE 64 SAMPLES PACK: SFX SOUND EXPANDER IN 'C'. If you click the link below it you are also taken to a special selection of SID sounds and effects taken from famous games and applications.
@korgpadude C, a lot of C programming. I use CC65. It's a cross-compiler tool to create your own software (also works for other 650X(2) devices like NES or Apple II). Also, it's multiplataform, so you can use it in Windows, Linux, Mac OS X (I had to compile it for this system).
And well, the rest is just programming. Do the math, create efficient algorithms and use your imagination to get an impressive visual :D
if you have the original c64 owners manual, there is a music program you can type in and play with. but sadly it doesn't even scratch the surface of what the SID 6581 is capable of.....
Looks like "The Incredible Musical Keyboard" by Sight & Sound Music Software, Inc. The creator of this video apparently doesn't have (or isn't using) the actual keyboard part - a cute little plastic overlay with mini piano-style keys that fit over the C64's keys so you could tell where the notes were and how to play actual music.
@snuggemsbunnybear I make music composed with or using Commodore computers myself. Click my name to hear some and in stereo.
Or take a look at my alternate channel ONLYGOODCOMMIE. There I showcase some more of my own music, Commodore 64 promo material and a short video I made on C64-PC networking.
I cant believe that it sounds so cool!I have a question:If I buy a C64 how can I have this program on it?Are there c64 disks different than regular floppy disks?
You might be able to find the .D64 disk image online and run it using a Commodore 64 emulator on a PC. Or, could find the program on eBay. There are ways to get the .D64 disk image file transferred to a Commodore's disk format but unfortunately a PC floppy drive cannot directly write Commodore format disks - there is a special cable and software that let you plug the Commodore disk drive into your PC and transfer the file that way however.

Not very impressive. You could write such a program quickly with C64 Basic, just some poke commands on the right registers, and some key reads.
