  • Brian. I love your intros! Especially this one

  • im starting the "open virtualization horde"

  • Great episode! I'm really going to check out the different programs you mentioned.

  • I installed the latest Ubuntu through wubi, there are no graphics effects options, i have updated all the drivers. Please help, i liked how i could make the windows all wobbly in the last ubuntu. What different or what have i done wrong. Some body help thanks.

  • how can a phone drop calls ? i mean it was an issue in 2000 in my country, strange to hear that

  • Brian spells his name wrong !

    but he is awsome :D

  • very helpful video.. eyeos is an amazing site... and i love my n900

  • don't forget the 'disconnect' extension, it's great for de-personalising searches and blocking 'social' sites from tracking you (including google).

this eyeos thing is great, but if you're going to actually have a server at home, why not have it running e.g. linux with xorg, and log into it via vnc over ssh? :)

  • @bamdadkhan Why would you have xorg on it? IT'S A SERVER!!!!

  • @MrJordanstech imo you're missing the point, bryan wanted a 'cloud' desktop. i WOULDN'T have xorg on a file server (well, i wouldn't have it on any computer to be honest, but that's neither here nor there). if i wanted a gui, i'd install webmin and administer it remotely.

  • :O ubuntu for n900 omg jizz im glad i got my n900 to think i was going to take it back!

  • i, as a user of another operating system shouldn't be 'penalised' by the gnome team for not using the linux kernel.

  • Thanks Bryan, you saved me from Google! Nice show guys, keep it up!

  • eyeOS looks SUPER AWESOME! Thanks guys!

  • Do it! I will totally be on board for a Jupiter EyeOS. :D

  • Android is less Linux than iOS is BSD,

  • eyeOS needs a calc and a presentation editor.

  • does eyeOS have a web browser? if so you could go on eyeOS on a browser while on a eyeOS browser while on a browser.....

    mind=blown.

  • @matteolima Recursive browsing FTW! :)

  • @matteolima Better yet, install elinks with java support and goto the same site.

  • Good show guys.

  • Not only do we like seeing the sausage made, but we like eating it.

    What.

Also, great episode. Well worth the extra half hour.

  • About the cloud desktop idea , how about this: Freebsd 8.1 64bit with ZFS ?

  • Omg...love the goonies shirt...kicked me back in time..lol

  • Great episode. I wanna start using those tools.

  • Does Ubuntu get some profits from ad clicks at start.ubuntu.com?

  • Here is the solution to all of our cloud computing woes: get a netbook and stuff a gigantic hdd/sdd in it, and put all of your files on that. Then they can have my data when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

  • all week I look forward to your intro and i was saying it with you , and this week you let me down me. :(

  • LOL that was so funny! "OOOOOOOOOOON THIS WEEK!!! On the Linex Action show.

  • Twenty-ninth, Third, What does it matter?

  • i got to say i normally dont like it when you change the intro but this one was epic :)
