clearly a flick for dudes. they just threw the romantic stuff in to get the chicks in the theatre. but it's all about brothers, father/son relationships, and fighting spirit.

one of the few dude-flicks that gets me choked up at several points. awesome story/movie.

I think if you have brothers or cousins you're very close to, it definitely hits home. A lot of people mistake "Legends of the Fall" to be a chick flick, but it's not. I'm a guy and this is by far my favorite movie.

I totally agree with you. People have this impression that it is a chick flick where all they do is fantasized brad pitt during the whole film! But it is not! It really hits home when you grew up with brothers or siblings. i am the only girl in the family and I grew with bunch of guys that the debate and argue 24/7 but in the end of the day, they can't say no to each other when they need favors and look after each other despite of fights.

Not only is this one of the absolutely most beautiful and touching movies ever made, but it also has one of the absolutely, if not THE MOST, beautiful sound score ever, by the amazing James Horner!
