i am sure that i just did this with Marios bair, against a marth, my only concern was that it was on the teeter of the edge. That being said, if it were merely edge canceled, mario would not have landed back onto the platform, which he definatly did

I still can't believe that no one use platform cancel aerials on a regular basis, seriously i have done so many fucked combos with Shiek, Samus, Ylink and Yoshi thanks to this stuff.. it should seriously already be a part of the meta game..

He dropped (or let go) from the ledge, double jumped and naired in quick succession, so the double jump animation/frames were skipped.

WRONG.

It's that he does it all so quickly that the nair animation is over in time for him to still be able to grab the ledge. I only thought it was possible with bairs and uairs, but I just tried really hard and managed to do it twice. I guess you've just got to be frame perfect.

You have to hit some one with the attack to allow hitlag to occur, for one. It's a matter of 1 frame, but since it's possible to perfect dashdance fairly easily on 1/4th...
