islam is trying to place a trophy for 9-11 those who dont know this are not researching islam there just listening to what ignorant people are saying. islam is Not a religion it is a terrorist organisation trying to take over the world by force. I dont just speak I have lots of evidence proving this, anyone that wants to see it ask me and I will send a messege to you proving islam is terrorism
Islam is peace. Islam is beautiful. Islam is successful. Islam is harmony.Islam is unity. Islam is purity. Islam is sanity. Islam is love and prosperity. Islam is one in unity. Islam's not hatred or adversity. Islam not rivalry and enmity. Islam is true salvation. Islam is repentance. Islam means no harm or affliction. Islam is submission and surrender. Islam is worshipping only the Creator. Islam is giving Allah all praise. ISLAM IS TRUE WAY OF LIVING.
@ginomaroc After the Ground Zero Mosque opens, Muslims from all over the world will, around Sep 11 every year, make a pilgrimage to NYC. It will be Hajj 2. The State Department will not refuse visas because that would upset the "radicals." Downtown Manhattan will be owned by the Muslims. It will be a Muslim holy site. New York will become New Mecca, and many Americans (seeing the way things are going) will convert to Islam. If you can't beat 'em, might as well join 'em. Allah hu Akbar.
In memory of all those innocent civilians who were murdered senselessly in ALL GROUND ZEROs around the world, including 9/11 (approx. 3000), Iraq (millions), Afghanistan (millions), Kosovo (millions), Ruwanda (millions), Vietnam (millions), Korea (millions), Hiroshima (millions), Nazi/WWII (millions), etc...Let's hope these darkest moments of human history teach us to forego biggotry, love and forgive each other & unite against all those who have harmed humanity in one way or another.
@idashformyship it has nothing to do with morality, compassion or ethics. that is just being used as an excuse. it has to do with anger. the people who are standing in the street opposing that building would love nothing better than to see these demonstrations escalate into physical confrontation. look at their faces. look at your own face in the mirror when you are typing commentary, tell me about the ugly face of hatred. dont make excuses for your motives. just come out and say you hate
great cenk but now we see a major backer has supported the alf which was convicted of supporting hamas in court. so now we have a man that paid for suicide bombers now giving money to this mosque.....
lets keeping arguing for a mosque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh
It's 2 city blocks away from the ground zero site. People act like it,s right on top of the damn tower's. 2 city blocks is quite far away. No1 was killed in the area the want 2 build.
a quote from a blog I read recently - a muslim person wrote this:
"There are more than a billion Muslims in the world today, and only a veritable handful who react with violence. Surely you must see that this isn't representative of us all? We don't look at the Abu Ghraib fiasco and assume that all Americans torture people at the drop of a hat. Many of us still serve in the US Armed Forces!
a quote form a book I read recently - a muslim person wrote this:
"When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, allow them to go their way. God is forgiving and merciful." Sura 9:5
do you really want to go there? the Christian and Jewish bible is FILLED with similar quotes or worse!
I was quoting the blog of a contemporary Muslim person -one who is impacted by the intense vitriolic hatred that people like you spew just because the terrorists also claimed to be Muslim.
Grow a pair and realize that blind hatred of a race or religious group is ridiculous.
I detest people who spout racism/religious intolerance while claiming patriotism!!
I love love love Arabs and Muslim people. Their food is amazing, and they are some of the most friendly people I've met. I count many as my friends. Still the Qur'an does contain clear calls for killing non-muslims. Those who truly follow all of the Qur'an and believe it is divine truth should by all means try to kill us all for God's glory.
@moretap I think its a huge and misinformed stretch to say that all who truely follow the Qur'an take that literally.
Its like saying that all Christians who truly claim to believe the bible believe that God will do that same kind of killing for them.(as it states that He has/does)
Or that they should follow any number of ridiculous and violent old testament rules and regulations.
Much of whats in any religions holy book is often thought to be metaphoric or allegorical by its followers.
@moretap and the point is not even about what is positive or negative about Islam, Christianity, Judaism or any other religion.
The point is that a vitriolic knee jerk hatred of all Muslim people because of 911 is harmful and wrong.
I'm not offended by intelligent arguments against the "mosque" that don't dissolve into hate rants -and I consider you to be one that WAS able to argue that intelligently
what offends me is those who hide behind the mosque issue to spew hatred and intolerance
Anyone hammering or nailing in support of this mosque should reconsider and think about their American brothers and sisters whose blood was shed in vain.
Like the guy said build the Mosque elsewhere. Show some compassion for the victims families. Just because you "Can" do something, doesn't always mean you "Should " do something. and nobody is saying don't build the damn thing. Just don't build it there!
The point is actually about what can and can't be built on private property in America.
Its funny to see so many advocating that our govt step in and stop this from being built even though it meets all bldg codes and is in compliance with the zoning laws. Its no more a mosque than a ymca is a church!
Because you have a vitriolic hatred of all Muslims, the govt should stop American citizens from building upon their own private property!?
You revere the constitution only when it suits you!
Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns a 7 percent stake in News Corp — the parent company of Fox News — making him the largest shareholder outside the family of News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch. Prince Alwaleed also donated money to the "New York Mosque" through the company he helps run, The Kingdom Foundation (which Fox&Friends monday morning blasted as a tool for terrorists.
You followed the money trail? So you must have seen that 54 percent of News Corp's political action donations were to Democrats. Also you must have noticed Bloomberg's plans to double his business in the middle east through a Dubai hub. Why does Bloomberg so strongly support the mosque when the majority of his constituents have more of a sense of decency?
@moretap Newscorp also gave 1 million dollars to Republicans two weeks ago. You think I'm a Democrat? Dude - Democrats are pussies. They can't even get a bill passed with a majority on their side. The thing on Bloomberg can be summarized to one word: money. Money perverses both, if not every single party in the U.S.
No, I don't assume you are a Democrat, but I'm showing how News Corp. has given money almost equally to both political parties showing it's tendency towards centrism and bi-partisanship.
You would want the Democrats to pass some of the bills? Thankfully they cant get them passed or we would be in much bigger trouble. Government inefficient is one of the best things that keeps government powers limited. To bad we have to let that limit goverment instead of our vote.
Thanks Americans for protesting against Mosque because once again you are showing it to muslims all over the world how much you hate muslims and how much you are against Islam in america. Effect on muslims more hate towards USA
The effect of a "victory mosque" placed on ground zero would be way worse for Muslim hatred towards the U.S. It would do some to unify the enemy and encourage them to spread hatred more.
Many moderate Muslims are against the mosque for this very reason we should side with them instead of against them. That shows our love of Muslims who also reciprocate and show their love of democracy and religious freedom.
It's ironic that Fox News makes no mention that one of the biggest contributors to the Mosque is Saudi Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud. The Saudi Prince is also the second largest shareholder in News Corp., the parent company of Fox News...............LMAO! Can you believe Fox wouldn't report this! A so called American News organization owned by a Australian and Saudi Prince what's wrong with our country! The Saudi Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud gave $800,000 to the Mosque.
personally I think this bears repeating -barbtube01 wrote; "It's ironic that Fox News makes no mention that one of the biggest contributors to the Mosque is Saudi Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud. One of Fox News' biggest shareholders is... Alwaleed bin Talal - the part funder of the Islamic Community Center in NYC, yet they never mention that in all their fear-mongering. Why? lol its actually funny!
Freedom of Religion is FREEDOM of Religion. There is NO reason to deny someone their Rights. In Fact the denial of Rights is something inherent to the same Radicalism that these people CLAIM to be protesting. this type of behavior is disgusting and is completely and utterly against EVERYTHING America is about.
You can't have fascism with a small central government. Patriotic, religious, and conservative Americans are the forefront of fighting against big government/fascism. Guess who is fighting for fascism?
@moretap actually you are not correct. Patriotic, religious (I assume you mean christian) and conservative Americans are often on the forefront of fighting for big business. They tend to be the ones chanting nationalist phrases and spewing hate messages against other religions in a nation founded upon freedom of religion its really an urban myth that dems/liberals = big govt. Historically, govt has increased more during conservative administrations
@webbeccjo Fascism doesn't favor a particular party line or faith, jackass so leave your pithy setiments stapled to the bulletin board. It's too easy to call the opposing side fascist, or racist, or ignorant and frame the argument as a matter of simple prejudice instead of recognizing that you're dealing with actual people, some of whom are in actual pain. Go fuck yourself you elitist cocksucker.
@phillee79 I didn't say fascism favored a particular party. In response to what someone else wrote, I said that the "patriotic" far right are the ones I see spewing nationalistic chants more often than anyone else.
And I find it humorous that you are spewing filthy curses instead of engaging in intelligent conversation. Although it doesn't surprise me! lol!
Why is it elitist to refuse to spew hatred?
You are projecting .... you know nothing about me other than what I type here.
Everything you've said in response to me so far has hinged on recharacterizing the disagreement you hear as hate speech. That's it. One vapid misdirection after another, one cheesy emotional stratagem after another (please, bringing up 9/11 and the "moral" foundation of America in the same argument), one snide, indirect insult after another-so very hollow. "Engaging in intelligent conversation" - you actually wrote that and didn't die from irony. Fucking amazing.
@phillee79 again...you wrote: 'Everything you've said in response to me so far has hinged on recharacterizing the disagreement you hear as hate speech.'
not true - all of my responses haven't been towards YOU and there HAS been a lot of hate speech from responders in this thread. vulgarity filled diatribes against muslims and other posters.
I honestly don't care whether or not you agree - but I am not making snide remarks.
@phillee79 Oh and I AM being sensitive to actual people some of whom are in actual pain! You know nothing about how personally impacted I am by 911.
People of MANY religions - including Muslim Americans - are victims of 911. It is YOU who doesn't seem to understand that white middle class Christians don't hold a monopoly on being negatively affected by 911.
And you don't seem to see that spewing hatred does not reflect the moral foundation this nation was built upon. YOU sound elitist to me.
@webbeccjo Being sensitve how, exactly? By using some throw away comment by a dead writer to establish a connection between Christianity and Facism? Yeah...that's tact. But to be fair; no, I don't know how personally impacted you may or may not be by 9/11 and, to be frank, I don't fucking care. Using that day to provide the whiff of substance to an argument like yours is a cheap emotional ploy to shame the opposition into acceptance, so save your outrage.
Exactly where, did I say that white, middle class Christians hold a monopoly on pain? Where? Really, that's the extent of your style isn't it? You make baseless assumptions and accusations about people who think your arguments are full of shit and you direct your argument at those instead of what's actually being talked about. I think I said that much already. But, I did assume you were an elitist cocksucker, didn't I?
Then again, I didn't go to the trouble to reference Sinclair Lewis or The Upanishads. You're well read or want people to think you are. Great.
What does Lewis have to say about "spewing hatred"? How do I "spew hatred"? In your case, and in the case of so many others, all I had to do was disagree. And again, I think I said that much before, too. You don't want to hear that people, people who may be right of center, have a legitimate problem with this mosque.
I didn't go to the 'trouble' as you say to quote anyone for any other reason than I have the right to post whatever I want to in response to this video. Those quotes reflect my thoughts on the original video posted.
I don't call people who disagree with me hate spewers. I used that phrase to describe those who made vitriolic hate filled remarks about Muslims in general, and who spewed vulgarities at anyone who disagreed with them.
@webbeccjo, ugh, I have no problem with your right to post whatever content you feel appropriate. But you should know that in a free society no one and no idea is immune from criticism. And by the way, you're the one who's making this about me.
You must have an overinflated ego to think this is all about responding to you or me telling people what to think.. I'm not offering arguments...I'm expressing my thoughts and feelings on the subject and responding to what others have written. You are free to disagree with me if you wish. I don't really care. But don't act like just because you disagree with me that I shouldn't share my thoughts.
Yeah, you touched a nerve; a raw one. Smug assholes like you always find a way to test the sensibilities of even the most mild mannered. Speaking of ego, are you sure this isn't about yours? You're the first person to bring it up and here you are again, hiding behind another baseless insult instead of trying to make an argument. Anyway, what makes you think I'm trying to stifle your right to expression? I disagreed, with rancor I admit, but I'm not telling you to shut up.
@webbeccjo That's nice, except no one here is saying they don't have the right to build it. So spare us your pseudo-intellectual melodrama, please. This is simply a piss poor idea for all involved.
and i'm pretty sure some Christian xtremist will burnt in down sooner or later...
i don't like muslims and i think their religion is shit...but, u gotta respect the Bill of Rights in America...without it, it'll be like living in North Korea!
Three percent of the population in Iraq is Christian. Lets assume there is a congregation that has been praying at a makeshift church for many years and they have been saving to erect a larger facility. In the meantime there is a firefight and US troops kill some of the city's mostly Muslim residents. Now there are protests about how there shouldn't be a Christian Church in that district. Is that fair ? This is analogous to what is happening here in our country.
I wonder if beck, hannity, or o'reilly will talk about the report or if any network will.....Google Fox News co-owner funded ‘Ground Zero mosque’ imam
@shetaiya well get in line behind your mommy then ...she sucks my dick on sundays ..and if you do a good job and are able to swallow...I might even pay you in crack
your last two comments are indicative of your lack of intelligence. people who cant think ...who can't articulate an intelligent argument resort to vulgar name calling like you have. therefore any argument you offer forth is invalid!
I love America, Its narrow minded vulgar hate spewing people like you that I detest. :) go ahead and think whatever fox news tell you to think! lol
Wax on and on, the more you speak the more foolish, vulgar and blind to reality you appear. Terrorists are abhorrent but intelligent people understand that they don't represent all Muslim people.
judge a person based on their character (not your narrow minded assumption of their character) rather than on their race or religion
@webbeccjo For the last 100 years, the centers of Progressive power has been certain centralized "Journolist" faux news centers, educational indoctrination factories mis-named schools, and a large influence in the public arts. What we see now is an historic shift of that power to all the people, individually wielding such powers on the Internet. Rathergate, Climategate, You Tube,? and Twitter are examples of such new power. Progressivism is doomed
one can always tell when someone loses an intellectual argument: they resort ad hominem arguments or name-calling. These are not worth responding to. We must always strive for the use of reason in discussion, but that is not on the agenda of Progressives. Instead, they fancy themselves as advocates of reason because they are influenced by writers like Kant and Hegel, who ridiculously claimed that they were advocates of reason. Of course all this delusional ranting, not reason.
@webbeccjo T.S. Eliot's poem "The Hollow Men" aptly? describes the emptiness and ash-gray, burnt-out, existential vacuum of the Progressive's moral center. When it is over, we may not? even hear a whimper as the Progressives stumble onto the "ash-heap of history". We Americans will turn our faces to the warmth of liberty.
If the Muslims cannot practice their religion because some have used it to do horrible things in the name of God, then Christians should not be allowed to build churches and worship. If you claim that Islam takes away women's rights and is draconian in punishment, therefore all Muslims believe that so they should not be allowed to practice, then the Jews should not be allowed to practice because women and men are stoned in the OT for sexual immorality and other sins.
The same week that the Muslim taliban flogged and shot a pregnant widow to death for adultery under sharia law, Barack at a Ramadan commemoration praised "Islam's role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings." Yeah, right.
so its not about religion huh? to bad its not about the constitution either because we wouldn't be even debating this issue if it was. But nope its all about emotions, bigotry, xenophobia, misinformation, and DUMB ASS REDNECKS! what a destructive mix
This is the case when we talk about YOU. This has nothing to do with what you are talking about but it has everything to do with Sharia Law. Do you understand what Sharia Law advocates? Do you know about Dhimmitude? Until you can explain these two very important aspects than SHUT UP you IGNORANT FOOL!
@Beeirish1965 Sharia law ,Christian law, Jewish law, religion has different interpretations you are choosing to focus on a radical interpretation and brand all Muslims as those choosing that radical interpretation of Sharia . You are the ignorant fool who totally disregards our constitution , in favor of practicing Islamophobia/ Xenophobia. May I remind you this is what our enemies want for us to embrace hate towards Muslims so they can justify their terrorism, which has no justification.
Our government is supposed to protect us against these radicals but our present Obama Administration enforces this action.
Worse still, despite the damning evidence of Rauf's radical ties & words exposed over the last few weeks, his trip to the Middle East, paid for by the Obama State Department, goes forward full steam ahead, fully funded by you, the US infidel taxpayer. This is Rauf's fourth US-paid for trip to the region, according to the State Department.
@Beeirish Why are you equating Islam with terror? I mean I am no religious fanatic but I find this a little absurd. That is like me equating
1) Protestants with having no logic or reason
2) Catholics as child molesters
3) Etc, Etc
THESE STEREOTYPES ARE ABSURD AND SHOULD HAVE NO PLACE IN AMERICA.
I Understand that America is still hurting from 9-11 and the attacks that radical Islam had on us but I think the key is to realize that it is radical Islam, which is different from mainstream Islam.
@HangProgressives Using the quote that webbeccjo said earlier.Than I suppose Christianity is also another religion that doesn't deserve the protections that the first amendment extends, seeing that the Christians killed many during the crusades and the inquisition.See how absurd and stupid the above statements sound, this is what your comments look and sound like consistently.
"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." -- James Madison
so by your logic ALL catholic priests are pedophiles, right?
No one is saying there aren't terrorists, no one is saying that there aren't Muslims terrorists. But there are also tens of thousands of Christian and Jewish terrorists world wide as well.
but that fact doesn't mean that there should be no YMCAs or YMJAs in America
We should be more concerned with Imam Feisal's rhetoric, because the big man in the Muslim community here is the US, with ugly, racist, anti-American, & anti-semitic all wrapped up in "inter-faith" propaganda from a man of peace, tolerance & the towering mega community center (mosque?) looking down on the cemetery of 911.
Our counter-intelligence agencies are forced to invite Hamas & other Muslim radical leaders into FBI counter-intelligent agency meetings.
@hcottie the followers of the child raping false prophet Muhammad will be rotting in hell, waiting in line to suck the pigshit off allah's dick w/Mo long before this Victory mosque is built......(Pedophile be upon her)
I for one am sick of 911 talk ...NYC thinks the world owes them something...What about DC..PA...never talk about that...People die every day...It was a terrible thing but how long can the milk this cow..
@notmolly1 Our reaction to the building of the mosque is disgusting. The perverted logic that it is insensitive to the people who died on 9-11,comes under scrutiny after all we are not at war with Islam but rather radical Islam and Al-Qaeda. The irony here is also that we are fighting wars to liberate Muslims overseas but we want to deny them rights here at home. America is a land of tolerance, not bigotry and hate. Hopefully logic/reason and the constitution prevail here.
Obama has achieved the “dreams of his father” in Kenya forcing Sharia on Kenyans. As a Senator, he supported his anti-US Marxist cousin Odinga: youtube.com/watch?v=c6eVVVKFHu0
Odinga made a pact with the Muslims to force Sharia on Kenyans, although only 10% of them are Muslim.
Odinga’s followers killed 750 people and burned a Christian church with mostly children, inside: youtube.com/watch?v=WJ92W74knSg
We MUST NOT allow Obama to achieve the “dreams of his father” in the U.S.!
WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS, Obama has been promoting SHARIA:
-- As a Senator, he supported Odinga, his anti-U.S. Marxist cousin, who made a pact with the Muslims to force SHARIA on Kenyans, although only 10% of them are Muslim.
-- With 23 millions, he supported the new Kenyan constitution that forces SHARIA on Kenyans
-- He paid for a multi-country trip to Islamic countries by imam Rauf, the cleric bent on building the mosque near Ground Zero, who is connected to Hamas and wants SHARIA for us.
@shetaiya hey brother dont worry let them burn the holly qoran all they want these dumb americans dont know any better the qoran is in our hearts and thats somthing they cant burn. if these dumb fucks know history they would know that christans terrorized people for 100s of years far more then muslims did let them bark all they want .happy ramadan to you and yours
@southsidebugsy send all the followers of the child raping false prophet Muhammad to hell so they can stand in line sucking the pigshit off allah's dick with Mo
AMERICA is already going broke because of their War of Terror. After they ban this MOSQUE, there will be enough rally for a worldwide BOYCOTT of all MADE IN USA stuff. Lets finish off whats left of their manufacturing.
@waheedbc how about America cut off all foreign aid ...and let you fucks fend for your own lazy asses....brush up on your Chinese...and good luck with the next natural disaster...now run along dhimmi
@webbeccjo as does 75% of real Americans we know what side you are on...you want a terrorist victory mosque....tell ya what ..go scream that in NY...make your will out first
@HangProgressives Your a bigot and idiot. The founding fathers spoke fondly of Islam, you are just a propagandist. The irony here is that overseas we are fighting wars to liberate Muslims from dictatorships (Saddam ,Taliban) but want to deny them rights here at home. How do you expect us to win over the Muslim world if we can't allow them the right to worship, let me guess your brilliant idea is to nuke them all? You preach love for the constitution so much but haven't taken time to read it.
@HangProgressives Why do you support racism, bigotry, ignorance and the such... 1)Is it because you have been brainwashed and can't think for yourself?
2) Is it because you partake in racism/ prejudice to use as a scapegoat for the despicable condition that you probably live in.
My man we are all children of god regardless of color. We all have different faiths but pray to the same god. God endowed man with logic and reason, USE IT.
@payazaiskool LMAO so now Islam and being muslim is a race? LOLOLOLOL
when all you have is the race card maybe you should stay offline...the racist card is now null and in Debate 101:auto default....you can thank IMAM OBAMA for that.
now again why do you support the Islamic terrorist victory mosque?
@HangProgressives No one said being Muslim is a race, but if you hold such feelings of ill will towards Muslims what is to say that you don't hold those same feelings toward's (Black's, Hispanics, Asians) after all aren't we all children of god and made in his image regardless of religion , race , national origin. I will leave you with a question/quote and hopefully you read it and take it in.....
"Our enemies struck at our heart, but did they also warp our identity?"
@HangProgressives Because it is what the founding father would of stood up for. It is the right thing to do. And ultimately it sends a much stronger message to our enemies that their terrorism will no paralyze us and it will not turn us into 'them', we will stand up for our ideals as a nation and not practice as they do (terrorist) indiscriminate hate .
@HangProgressives there IS no "Islamic victory mosque" as you call it!! There is a proposed Islamic community center similar to a ymca with a small chapel on one floor - to be built on PRIVATE PROPERTY two blocks away from ground zero. The fact that you and your ilk persist in calling it a victory mosque does not make it so.
Why do YOU believe it to be something its not? because fox news told you to?
Andrew! I am SO glad you are taking this stand.....I was praying that ALL construction workers were like minded with you. I prayed from the moment I heard this is a possibility.
the Islamic community center is being built on *private property* two blocks from ground zero - near a strip club and an off track betting store. hardly "hallowed ground"
Those extremists are murderers and killed without reason.... they probably would have killed even if there hadn't been anti American sentiment in the middle east, BUT our own govt is not blameless for the anti American sentiment that does exist in the middle east.
The building of this Mosque is the same damn thing, as if catholics flew damn planes into the golden gates in jerusalem TOMORROW killing thousands of muslims and ..and then 7 years say ya know we are going to build a cathedral right here. its not about religion, we should have the right to put a catholic cathedral here. because we can. how many peoples of islam would say no way in hell. exactly as many or more than the AMERICANS that are currently saying NO WAY IN HELL! . this will not happen
but the point is that "Muslims" aren't the ones who flew the planes into the WTC...the extremist terrorist group did. they happened to call their sect 'Muslim' although they are not embraced by orthodox Islam any more than a 'christian' hate group would be embraced by mainstream Christianity.
I get the construction worker's right not to work on the project for personal reasons, but I don't get the racist across-the-board hatred of all Muslims
@webbeccjo exactly when did Islam and being muslim become a RACE?....go fuck yourself you race card playing treasonous commie progressive insurgent...and BTW it is hallowed ground the landing gear from Atta's hijacked missle crashed through two floors of the coat factory....so you terrorist loving fuck...spread your dhimmi propaganda somewhere else
@HangProgressives How is it treasonous to remind people like you that all muslims are not terrorists? If the word racist is not appropriate, then what word might I use that would better define the vitriolic hatred of all Muslims so rampant in the comments here?
And of course ground zero is hallowed you idiot! My point was if private property two blocks away is hallowed then why isn't there a move towards removing the strip club and the betting track that are even closer to ground zero?
@HangProgressives and my refusal to hate all Muslim people just because the terrorists are part of a radical Islamic cult does not make me a "commie progressive insurgent" nor does it make me a "terrorist loving fuck"
I've NEVER condoned the terrorists. what they did was abhorrent
You sound like a fascist nut job when you make those kinds of accusations.
@webbeccjo nice straw man...typical treasonous commie progressive insurgent talking point...you dont need to hate all muslims to oppose the victory mosque...fact of the matter is if you agree with the victory mosque...you support terrorists...plain and simple...ask 75% of America why they oppose the victory mosque...you are still a treasonous commie progressive insurgent ..and should be dealt with accordingly
No imam will publicly denounce 9/11 as incompatible with the Koran. There are moderate moslems, but there is no moderate islam, by definition.Unlike any true religion, Moslems must jihad. It is an ideology, not a religion.
The fact that the initial name for this project was "Cordoba" says it all... the Cordoba Mosque was built on the first ground that the Moors (Moslims) took in Spain... it is a symbol of conquest. This mosque will NOT stand near Ground Zero.
It doesn't take much intellect to load a gun to defend my own country. And then where will you terrorist supporters be, not on Youtube, discussing anything ! My religious freedom which was the intitial religion that ESTABLISHED this nation dictates I must defend my homeland at all cost, that God will not be laughed at, nor the remains of the dead be mocked...

@webbeccjo
I love love love Arabs and Muslim people. Their food is amazing, and they are some of the most friendly people I've met. I count many as my friends. Still the Qur'an does contain clear calls for killing non-muslims. Those who truly follow all of the Qur'an and believe it is divine truth should by all means try to kill us all for God's glory.
moretap 1 year ago

I followed the money trail.
Spiderzumbie 1 year ago 6
@Spiderzumbie
You followed the money trail? So you must have seen that 54 percent of News Corp's political action donations were to Democrats. Also you must have noticed Bloomberg's plans to double his business in the middle east through a Dubai hub. Why does Bloomberg so strongly support the mosque when the majority of his constituents have more of a sense of decency?
moretap 1 year ago
@moretap Newscorp also gave 1 million dollars to Republicans two weeks ago. You think I'm a Democrat? Dude - Democrats are pussies. They can't even get a bill passed with a majority on their side. The thing on Bloomberg can be summarized to one word: money. Money perverses both, if not every single party in the U.S.
Spiderzumbie 1 year ago
@Spiderzumbie
To bad we have to let that limit goverment instead of our vote.

pakhtonalak1947 1 year ago
@pakhtonalak1947

@moretap actually you are not correct. Patriotic, religious (I assume you mean christian) and conservative Americans are often on the forefront of fighting for big business. @webbeccjo Fascism doesn't favor a particular party line or faith, jackass so leave your pithy setiments stapled to the bulletin board. @phillee79 I didn't say fascism favored a particular party. In response to what someone else wrote, I said that the "patriotic" far right are the ones I see spewing nationalistic chants more often than anyone else.

YOU sound elitist to me.
webbeccjo 1 year ago
@webbeccjo Being sensitve how, exactly? By using some throw away comment by a dead writer to establish a connection between Christianity and Facism? Yeah...that's tact. But to be fair; no, I don't know how personally impacted you may or may not be by 9/11 and, to be frank, I don't fucking care. Using that day to provide the whiff of substance to an argument like yours is a cheap emotional ploy to shame the opposition into acceptance, so save your outrage.
phillee79 1 year ago
Exactly where, did I say that white, middle class Christians hold a monopoly on pain? Where? Really, that's the extent of your style isn't it? You make baseless assumptions and accusations about people who think your arguments are full of shit and you direct your argument at those instead of what's actually being talked about. I think I said that much already. But, I did assume you were an elitist cocksucker, didn't I?
phillee79 1 year ago
Then again, I didn't go to the trouble to reference Sinclair Lewis or The Upanishads. You're well read or want people to think you are. Great.
What does Lewis have to say about "spewing hatred"? How do I "spew hatred"? In your case, and in the case of so many others, all I had to do was disagree. And again, I think I said that much before, too. You don't want to hear that people, people who may be right of center, have a legitimate problem with this mosque.
phillee79 1 year ago
@phillee79
You keep trying to make this about you! lol

I must have touched a nerve with you :D
You must have an overinflated ego to think this is all about responding to you or me telling people what to think.. But don't act like just because you disagree with me that I shouldn't share my thoughts.
webbeccjo 1 year ago 2
Yeah, you touched a nerve; a raw one. Smug assholes like you always find a way to test the sensibilities of even the most mild mannered. Speaking of ego, are you sure this isn't about yours? Three percent of the population in Iraq is Christian. Lets assume there is a congregation that has been praying at a makeshift church for many years and they have been saving to erect a larger facility. In the meantime there is a firefight and US troops kill some of the city's mostly Muslim residents. Now there are protests about how there shouldn't be a Christian Church in that district.

AMERICA is already going broke because of their War of Terror. After they ban this MOSQUE, there will be enough rally for a worldwide BOYCOTT of all MADE IN USA stuff. Lets finish off whats left of their manufacturing.

@payazaiskool why do you support the Islamic Victory Mosque?...is it because
HAMAS and IMAM OBAMA do?
HangProgressives 1 year ago
@HangProgressives Why do you support racism, bigotry, ignorance and the such... 1)Is it because you have been brainwashed and can't think for yourself?
2) Is it because you partake in racism/ prejudice to use as a scapegoat for the despicable condition that you probably live in.
My man we are all children of god regardless of color. We all have different faiths but pray to the same god. God endowed man with logic and reason, USE IT.
payazaiskool 1 year ago
@payazaiskool LMAO so now Islam and being muslim is a race? LOLOLOLOL
when all you have is the race card maybe you should stay offline...the racist card is now null and in Debate 101:auto default....you can thank IMAM OBAMA for that.
now again why do you support the Islamic terrorist victory mosque?
HangProgressives 1 year ago 2
@HangProgressives No one said being Muslim is a race, but if you hold such feelings of ill will towards Muslims what is to say that you don't hold those same feelings toward's (Black's, Hispanics, Asians) after all aren't we all children of god and made in his image regardless of religion , race , national origin. I will leave you with a question/quote and hopefully you read it and take it in.....
"Our enemies struck at our heart, but did they also warp our identity?"
payazaiskool 1 year ago
@payazaiskool answer the question DHIMMI ..why do you support the Islamic terrorist victory mosque
HangProgressives 1 year ago
@HangProgressives Because it is what the founding father would of stood up for. It is the right thing to do. And ultimately it sends a much stronger message to our enemies that their terrorism will no paralyze us and it will not turn us into 'them', we will stand up for our ideals as a nation and not practice as they do (terrorist) indiscriminate hate .
payazaiskool 1 year ago 2
@HangProgressives there IS no "Islamic victory mosque" as you call it!! There is a proposed Islamic community center similar to a ymca with a small chapel on one floor - to be built on PRIVATE PROPERTY two blocks away from ground zero. The fact that you and your ilk persist in calling it a victory mosque does not make it so.
Why do YOU believe it to be something its not? because fox news told you to?

Andrew! I am SO glad you are taking this stand.....I was praying that ALL construction workers were like minded with you. I prayed from the moment I heard this is a possibility.
silla1971 1 year ago
the Islamic community center is being built on *private property* two blocks from ground zero - near a strip club and an off track betting store. hardly "hallowed ground"
Those extremists are murderers and killed without reason.... they probably would have killed even if there hadn't been anti American sentiment in the middle east, BUT our own govt is not blameless for the anti American sentiment that does exist in the middle east.
webbeccjo 1 year ago
Damn we're letting arizona be invaded and now a mosque at ground zero, America is being taken over.
bummer846 1 year ago
The building of this Mosque is the same damn thing, as if catholics flew damn planes into the golden gates in jerusalem TOMORROW killing thousands of muslims and ..and then 7 years say ya know we are going to build a cathedral right here. its not about religion, we should have the right to put a catholic cathedral here. because we can. how many peoples of islam would say no way in hell. exactly as many or more than the AMERICANS that are currently saying NO WAY IN HELL! . this will not happen
jay75009 1 year ago
@jay75009 Yea it would probly get blown up.
bummer846 1 year ago
@jay75009
but the point is that "Muslims" aren't the ones who flew the planes into the WTC...the extremist terrorist group did. they happened to call their sect 'Muslim' although they are not embraced by orthodox Islam any more than a 'christian' hate group would be embraced by mainstream Christianity.
I get the construction worker's right not to work on the project for personal reasons, but I don't get the racist across-the-board hatred of all Muslims
webbeccjo 1 year ago
@webbeccjo exactly when did Islam and being muslim become a RACE?....go fuck yourself you race card playing treasonous commie progressive insurgent...and BTW it is hallowed ground the landing gear from Atta's hijacked missle crashed through two floors of the coat factory....so you terrorist loving fuck...spread your dhimmi propaganda somewhere else
HangProgressives 1 year ago
@HangProgressives How is it treasonous to remind people like you that all muslims are not terrorists? If the word racist is not appropriate, then what word might I use that would better define the vitriolic hatred of all Muslims so rampant in the comments here?
And of course ground zero is hallowed you idiot! My point was if private property two blocks away is hallowed then why isn't there a move towards removing the strip club and the betting track that are even closer to ground zero?
webbeccjo 1 year ago
@HangProgressives and my refusal to hate all Muslim people just because the terrorists are part of a radical Islamic cult does not make me a "commie progressive insurgent" nor does it make me a "terrorist loving fuck"
I've NEVER condoned the terrorists. what they did was abhorrent
You sound like a fascist nut job when you make those kinds of accusations.
webbeccjo 1 year ago
@webbeccjo nice straw man...typical treasonous commie progressive insurgent talking point...you dont need to hate all muslims to oppose the victory mosque...fact of the matter is if you agree with the victory mosque...you support terrorists...plain and simple...ask 75% of America why they oppose the victory mosque...you are still a treasonous commie progressive insurgent ..and should be dealt with accordingly
HangProgressives 1 year ago
@webbeccjo Ok Abdul..keep thelling yourself that.

No imam will publicly denounce 9/11 as incompatible with the Koran. There are moderate moslems, but there is no moderate islam, by definition.Unlike any true religion, Moslems must jihad. It is an ideology, not a religion.

@SoCalstylez858 I'm brown and think the mosque it wrong that just show how ignorant u are.
bummer846 1 year ago
