  • so did you leave the tank top/skirt in or did you take them out?

  • @healaurah i just used them to trace the pattern, leave them out when ur done with that! :p

  • I was going to ask where you got the portrait of Carolyn Jones as Morticia, but I see it's water marked. I'm guessing you found it on the 'net?

  • I love this video and have used it as a jumping off point and inspiration for my own Morticia dress for this Halloween. I am having a bit of a problem with the tentacles around the bottom hem. I have to move around a lot on Halloween night.. is there a way to sew the tentacles that they won't be tripping me up? So far I've tried pinning them in place prior to sewing and I had a heck of a time walking. The tentacles really have a mind of their own. Any thoughts or help? Thank you so much!!

  • i wana make this! but i kinda would like to modify it. would it be possible to make add lace to it? as sleeves?

  • @2011naomi2217 Yes, for sure! Good idea!

  • I'm making this at the moment! I've never really made anything before so it's a bit of a fun challenge! Being a complete beginner I've made some mistakes, but this tutorial is really good and I'm following along just fine. I've made the tunic and now I've just finished the sleeves (figuring out how big to make them was tricky! My first ones were too small!) and have to attach them tomorrow. I think the sleeve attachment and the neckline will be the hardest bits! Fingers crossed!

  • sexy :D \\m//

  • This is absolutely amazing! As a lot of others mentioned, the "store bought" versions of Morticia's dress are really dreadful and nothing like original! You are quite creative and did an amazing job!

  • @hellodani100 Thank you so much!!! :D

  • LOVE IT! I'm going to be Morticia for Halloween and all the costumes I find are completely incorrect. One thing I would add is the sheer fabric that hangs off the sleeves, I feel this will really finish the look. thank you for your video!

  • @HarleyQuinnxxMistahJ a fabric that stretches both ways! xox

  • 1st off, the cats are so cute (huge kitty kat fan!!) I love this video! I've been trying to do a Morticia costume for soooo long and this is the easiest instruction video I have found with the perfect result! Even if I had no knowledge of sewing, I think I would still be able to make this. Thank you so much for making this video!

  • @tamishanna WOW thanks so much for your nice comment! im glad you liked it! Tommy (my cat) says HI!!!!

  • I love this video. Sincerely. Exceptional.

  • @blackleatherrain Thanks so much!

  • You look so much like Carolyn Jones!

  • OMG thank you so much! I'm not doing Morticia this year, but I have been scouring the internet looking for such a dress, so that I can dress up as the one and only Divine this Halloween!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!!

  • forget halloween, im making this for every day!!

  • @lovla1 hahahah you are so funny! :D

  • Awesome! You look just like her! :)

  • As a big fan of The Adams Family from the 50° I can tell that your dress is ... Awesome !! I will make it for next halloween. Thank you so much for that nice video.

    Hug to the cat ^^

  • @charline7688 Thank you! Tommy (the cat) says THANKS too! ;-) good luck with the dress!!

  • WOW you look So good as Morticia Addams !!!!! and that dress is perfect . I'm glad to see you made it extra tight !!!!!! Fabulous !!!! :-)

  • wow, you have an amazing figure and GORGEOUS piercing eyes!! If only I was your Gomez :)

  • @ClarkKent1984 haha thank you Gomez uhmmm i mean superman!

  • That's an awesome costume!! I would love to wear something like this, but I don't have shapely curves like you do. LOL!! But it looks great on you! You've got the perfect body for dresses like this one. Thanks for the tutorial! ~~your #1 fan. ;o)

  • @lexicalsanctuary Oh silly me! Have to practice my english more! Glad u liked the dress/ video! Xoxo

  • hi i love the tutorial, but i'm really bad at sewing do you have like study in the sudjet o you just do it?? ( sorry my english)

  • @chinquinks Thank you! I didnt study it, just do it! Start with easy projects and try to sew at least once a week, you'll see that you will be a sewing professional before you know it! Good luck!

  • @Ase0esA thanks =)
