Red Terror Cichlids- Amphilophus Festae (Update)

they are 200% red terrors, by the spot at the top of the tail & the y bar. great job & awesome fish my friend, check mine tank out that will have a few red terrors very soon.

I just bought a false red terror and i am pretty pissed off but lucky my lfs is taking it back. I just ordered 4 Amphilophus festae fry. Hopefully they will grow up and breed for me! They are pretty fish i say.

how old are they there? because i have some about 4 weeks old about 1" long and want to know how long it takes to get to this point?

that is really festae. but there is a fake festae the urophthalmus is very similar to festae from a baby. is very hard to see the difference.

Seeing how you didn't even spell that scientific name correctly I'd say you are in no position to ID these fish!

They are true festae...look at the spot on the tail

true red terrors are hard to find but alot of shops are saying maya cichlids are reds and pawning them off they look very similar but they lose most of they red that they have as babys and have a mute color to them ( look for the y or 4 on them ) youll see it when they are bigger

i have a cichlid it ate all the other ones so now it jus him and bottim fish and i feed him shrimp gold fish and minows and blood worms

I'm using a mini-camcorder. It's fairly new (about 3 years), but your definitely right, I need a better camera.
