Nobody will have one until we harden the earth quite a bit, or make it extremely light.

Why? The lbs/inch^2 would be too much for even a street to handle... Meaning it would sink into the ground and be unable to move.

Not to mention a jet is better for aerial/spacial combat, and a tank is better for ground combat... No need to make a humanoid mech until MANY things change... Like the laws of physics...
