Omg! The first thing I'm doing when I get my fursuit is I'm going for a fursuit outing. I bet people won't know a dragon wolf hybrid when they see one :D

@Missladywithaplus No, it's not a requirement or anything, but I've found that wearing a badge when going out in public helps with those instances where people ask what your name is :) The only time a badge is required is at a convention, to prove you paid your membership.

btw, the fursuits and even the camrawork was a job well done. I like male lion fur suits since they have the mane, its like person hair, and you could find ways to style it diffrently. Although I LOVE foxes :D

As I was watching I noticed Ithabise had buckles on his feet, so as I watched I noticed that they were fursandals :O and I thought that was cool idea. I also saw Scout had more human-like feet, with human sandals, and i havent seen the feet done that way, so that was neat. Kijani didnt have fur-foot-wear so, was there a diffrent material on the soul of the foot? Just wanted to know, I have seen diffrent furfoot souls.

Its great to see how accepting everyone was! I live in a small town in Texas, furries are very taboo and looked down upon. But, its good to know there are some small towns that can be unbiased like this :).

@PotatisSlottet i had no experience when i started. what i did was watch how to videos and a lot of planning. my first one was crappy, second was pretty good after fixing it up like 3 times. im currently working on my 3rd one. its going to take forever but i will perfect it and its going to be awesome

I see how that would be a problem, makeing things out of ducttape is both fun and easy. I made a pair of gloves and a tie with ductape last haloeen, now they smell like years of acumilated hand swet. Ductape is fun but not good to wear.

when your fursuiting are you supposed to be always silent?

@ArbiterWolf13 It's up to the individual, but the general rule is to stay in character you should not have a human voice coming out of your suit, and that is the rule I follow. The exception is if your character has a very good moving jaw that articulates with you, so the voice can be part of your character. What you want to avoid is a voice coming out and no jaw moving as that is quite creepy. And it's much more fun to use gestures and pantomime to communicate ;)

@lionking300 I agree with the idea you have. If I had a fursuit without the moving jaw, and the charator could talk, I would just tell every one that they have the ability to comunicate using theyre mind power or they have the ability of vantrilitisim, and they are just to lazy to move theyre mouth or something XD it would be a good idea if you bought the suit and it wasnt custom-made, if it was a surprise gift or if you just couldent figure out how to make it, dont have the acces to the part

@totaljuice Hey there, and welcome to the wonderful world of fursuiting! In our case for this video we did not call since it's an outdoor strip mall with lots of little shops, but if you're going to a bigger establishment or major mall you need to call in advance to make sure it's okay. Many, of not most, enforce a no-mask policy (particular if indoors) and they will ask you to leave if not cleared beforehand. Most festivals/community events are fine though, families and kids love us there :)

Those are fursuit sandals, which are great because they keep the soles of your fursuit feet clean and dry. I really wish I had them, as you can tell by the end of this video my footpaws (made of foam) soaked up water like a sponge and got really heavy and uncomfortable.

Yes, it is legal to fursuit in MOST places in public. If you want to avoid hassle, go in as large a group as possible and stay outside. A lot of stores don't like big costumed characters with masks for security reasons... if you're planning on fursuiting at a big/major store it's always best to call first before you get kicked out. Also, never fursuit at in indoor shopping mall without prior consent either. Stuff like we do in this video, walking down the street, is a safe and fun way.

We actually thought about it, but we would have to be sponsored by the Fair itself to not get kicked out. They're pretty strict there about security so having masks, especially with the amount of kids around, wouldn't work for them. But it would be a great venue!

Yes, Zoos do not allow fursuits inside zoo grounds for that reason, as well as security. Point Defiance was actually the site for a meetup last year and that was the case, as was Woodland Park Zoo. But for the latter we had tons of fun fursuiting outside the gate on probably the busiest day of the year!

A lot of fursuiters make their own suits, but for those of us that aren't so artistically inclined (or have the time and patience necessary) we commission others to build our suits for us. There are plenty of well-established suit makers (individuals & companies) in the fandom and according to Wikifur theres 241 in total. For the best ones there is a long waiting list (sometimes years) and expect to pay $1,000-$1,500 for a good suit and upwards depending on complexity.
