I LOVE yngie here but... I find he's become a bit of a parody of himself as of recently. Fat, bloated, and overblown...

God he's preserved here at the least.

Don't get me wrong, he's definatly got chops still, but what happened to the music eh? Personal taste maybe... maybe it's he's trying to hard to impress... maybe it's millions of other things, but I do love listening to this piece and others by him...

Im pretty sure that that is yngwie in the picture, my guess he is like 16 there. So its a loong time ago. He went to usa when he was 18. This pic is from before that. I think Ive seen this pic on a fan site also. If you look closely at his face you see that its him. And who else would hold a guitar in such a cool way? ;)

Of course THAT is Yngwie in this photo, geezuz. AND it's obvious he just slung the strap on the outter shoulder there to carry the guitar.......it's not ON him like as if he was playing it........he just strung it on that shoulder to carry it. It's obviously upside down in this picture. What are you people talking about... Gracias loco! creo que minimizar a Malmsteen es un error enorme. Composicionalmente ha hecho cosas enormes, por ahí no tanto en su actual etapa con Owens pero sí que Lynn Turner, Vescera ( el Seventh Sign me parece un trabajo más que estupendo), Boals, Soto, Leven y Edman con quienes ha sacado trabajos excelentes que superan casi cualquier cosa que haya escuchado, y no lo digo por los solos de guitarra solamente, lo digo por los temas en sí, con mucha fuerza y melodía!

@playfas Vos decis dejense de joder con ese tema de los imitadores pero arrancas diciendo q Malmsteen es imitador de Blackmore, cualquiera hermano, Malmsteen con toda su carrera esta a la altura de cualquier musico/guitarrista "historico" q se te ocurra. Deep Purple era una banda, con grandes musicos todos, Malmsteen fue el solo siempre gran compositor guitarrista y musico. Y Blackmore un genio tambien, pero distintos.
