  • Thanks for the good lesson. I just got a job where we use a big torch to heat parts for assembly, these are for the naval industry.

Most people here are not experts, everyone has their system, so I would like to know how to adjust a flame for heating, and how I can tell when a gas is running low.

    Many thanks.

  • do Acetylene tanks have oxygen already in them or do u have to combine the two?

    thank you.

  • @sparklerbombg No, that would be very dangerous and explosive!

  • @Waterman117 the idea is that you want a flow of oxy to blow out any acetylene in the torch and blow any spark outward, preventing flashback through the hose.

  • @Waterman117 lol damn no the age limit is lower tho 18 HELLA YEAAA

  • @Waterman117 yea thanks for that info im still in school im only 14 so all the help i can get is great

  • The neutral flame I am getting seem to be feathering on the top. Is that okay?

  • does it matter if you reverse the shutting off stage.

  • i like to turn off the gas first so that the oxygen will blow out the gas in the torch

  • @lpngcf420 i am taking a welding course, and current thought is to shut off the fuel first and then the oxygen, just like you said. according to my instructors, what this guy said is old school.

  • @quebrik hahah yea
