I love how everyone isn't taking into consideration that this video is the focus of making an original cover. You all say to keep it simple. If he was keeping it simple he might as well just play the drum part from the song itself. He is putting the faster fills in with climax moments and the nice grooves with the more calm sections.

Easy does it buddy. Great playing though. You have good technique and good sound quality, so keep it simple. Write some of your own stuff because you have some sick grooves, but just something about the bridge of Thriller going into a half time double bass segment doesn't tickle me. Great playing overall but just remember the KISS philosophy..Keep It Simple Stupid. Not in an offensive way, but that's also a way to write English papers.

Luke has a great load of showmanship ex. Twirling his sticks to strike the crash cymbal with minimum effort. He does have the ability to wow his audience with his fanciful rudiments. However on the other hand he lacks the basic rhythmic groove to the song. He doesn't or fairly have a strong back beat and for beat which Michael Jackson emphasizes a lot in most of his songs except "Heal the world". Peace!

Luke is one of the best drummers I've seen as far as what he does. hes not just one style of playing ppl, hes the full circle. every note is clean and executed with precision. yes there is always room for improvement as we are human and aren't perfect, but Luke can play his instrument and play it well. most of all hes doing better then most of us so who are we to judge his skill. Once again, I'm not saying that he's not playing well at all, and there's still very little groove in the crazy fills. In a song like this, a pretty minimalist song, the best way to serve the song is to keep it simple, just like the instrumentation. Maybe some ghost notes here and there, but it's a pop song, the drums aren't the focus of it.
