Since this video was posted it really seems as if there is a strong movement in America to become less religious in its perspective judging by the huge number of anti religious comments on yt. Religion it seems still plays a strong role in America but in Canada there is a massive turning away from organized religion. According to gallup we are now at 61% those who are considered irreligious. UK - 76%, Australia - 67%, US - 36%
This man is one of the greats in Atheist history. I've learned more in that last half hour than I have in weeks. Mr. Tabash is both uplifting and a great teacher for todays atheist. I can't believe this is the first time I've heard this guy.
"We do not let the other side define our vocabulary?" 'Atheist' means 'without theism'. In other words, it puts theism center-stage. It means 'not the main guys'. It is their term for us. As Sam Harris has said, you don't need a word for a-unicornist. In a reasonable world we'd need no label and theists would be "a-rationalists".
You are right technically, but to the religious the word means evil, bad, hell-bound, amoral, etc. Unfortunately the religious leaders have made (brainwashed) their folks to associate atheist with the most negative possible language. Mr. Tabash is suggesting we change that view and I think he is probably right.

Until atheists, humanists, etc. learn to combine reason with emotion, they will never reach/influence the general public.
