you're totally clueless dickhead, last trip to willowbank i ran 12.6@110mph. it's an fg nitro in colour with the stile side pulled off and an alluminium tray put on. the rego is 625 mrb, look it up. it was tuned by rdp motorsport at redcliffe as was the bfII i had before it which ran 13.0@106mph. both cars had bad wheel spin. the fg put out alot more hp with just a tune as it run a smaller turbo that spools earlier and a differrent intercooler. anymore comments dipshit?

I raced an XR6 Turbo in my Aurion ZR6 from a dig, i was 1 car length the whole time and he gave up after 150kmh..

I was very suprised as i thought i wud loose due to the XR6T havn 245KW but i sure proved that ford a lesson lol :)

The next night i went out cruisn and caught up with him and told him that i raced him the revious day, he just denied it all coz he was in front of his gf but you could see the embarrsement in his face..

nope the turbo will win due to extra torque, the na6 will actually make less midrange torque. The turbo will have a wider spread of power, same reason that a stock xr6t will beat a stock xr8.

The problem with a Turbo is compessor surge as they take a while to bost you dont get that 245kw till its on full boost. Where your NA engine will have all 200kw most of the time through the rev's.If you put a turbo and NA cars in a race but making the same power the turbo will loss.But a turbo you engine can make more power when modifide

@we274 hey mate, in my opinion the stock xr6t will spank u hands down.. the stock n/a 6 should be slightly slower. ive been in a zr6 and i can say after being in and racing 2 stock xr6ts that the xr6t will easily get away. although they can be slow off the line when not launched but it will catch up to a zr6. iv had an experience with a n/a bf xr6 with a turbo badge ( he tried to go me but it wasnt actually turbo haha) perhaps someone was doin a badger

@FormulaVeeRacer1200 Hey mate,yea i was wished i recorded it because it was a good race, I caught up with the XR6T driver afterwards and it was a 2003 BA XR6T, had intercooler and turbo and was also the tiptronic not manuel version, so was legit but he said it was stock besides havn the aftermarket gauges on the dash. Looked nice tho purple wit chrome rims, Im guessing it was old and thats why I had a better chance wit it rather than the new one's.

@we274 agreed, i beat a xr6t in my aurion to 160 which is a 1/4 mile. when i went to WSID my first line up was a xr6T bf stock ute. he ran a 14.260@101 i ran a 14.469@98. we worked out the power difference and weight and found out the aurion is not far off from being even. im pretty sure after 160 kph tho i was losing power where he was gaining. guess it just depends on the driver, good ford driver will win

Finally someone else has beaten an XR6T in their Aurion, for awhile I felt as If I was the only 1 here defending the Aurions. Yea the Aurions have some punch but after around 160 they start to slow down but by then the race is already finished.

Speaking of Races As I was going to gym 2day this Audi A3 Turbo not sure if 1.8 or 2L, but full on spoolong nxt to me, get to a set of lights, they turn green and off we go, Audi was quick but I pulled away at 90km, That was quiet a fun

Was the Ford manual? I ran at the WA Motorplex and posted a best of 13.59@105mph a few months ago. Mods - F6 intake snorkle and a dirty K&N air filter. This was the 6 speed ZF, shifted manually. See my vid.

@AUTURBO6 Finally Thank you AUTURBO6, some one knows what I am talking about, the Aurions are nice fast cars and after that I had put on the Authentic 19inch TRD rims and traction wa much better and quicker. But I did sell my Aurion a month ago as I just turned 21 and am now legal to drive what I want so I bought my beloved WRX, 2005 Subaru WRX Club Spec Evo 8 and love everybit of it. But in saying that the Aurion was a gr8 car with Loads of power and mechanically will never break down :)

Compare it to a FPV and you'll have a different result. As for power, it doesn't mean everything. Compare an VE SV6 and an FG XR6. 210kw vs 195kw, both of which can keep up with each other.

Actually it isn't illegal you have to go through a long process. and lots of paper work, allwhile have a significant amount of cash to pay for registering this engine to get it street legal. It all holds down to the question, is it worth it? With out registration you can still import one, but it can be for sanctioned racing use only.

I've run a 12.2 on 19" street tyres and lots of wheel spin. Should be good for mid 11's with slicks if it grips up :)

how is it that you managed to have the car re-tuned but didnt get another dyno reading?

my tuner doesnt use a dyno to tune cars he prefers to tune them on the road.

nope its my mates car but hasnt been dynod, from what i know it has full turbo back exhaust, pod filter, trust intercoolers, modded ecu and a shift kitted auto. he'll b gettin a single piece tailshaft, 4:11 diff gears and a retune soon so we'll have a rematch.
