  • I couldn't fukin believe it when I found out stevie was dead I had been listening to him z year and had couldn't stand album and live at the mocambo vide then I bought the sky crying complination and read the inner notes and my heart fukin sank cause I had been thinkin up to then this was like Jimi but alive. Imagine this (phew)

  • wish he could play me like that....RIP STEVIE

  • inarrivabile........................

  • I am going to watch his videos until he misses a note. I have a feeling this will only end when I run out of videos.

  • @wick2107 Lol, watch the Voodoo Chile from Munich Germany 1984. He misses the very first note after the scratching at the beginning. Needless to say... it's the most awesome thing you'll see all day anyway, unless you watch another SRV vid.

  • man dude what a loss what loss god must have a fucked up sence of humor this man was and is the blues thanks srv and thanks to all those blues cats who started it all my hat is off to ya

  • Hope there is no limit to the number of times I can watch and listen to Stevie sing and play this song in a row ! Agree with dizzykrissi...best version ever. Miss him !

  • One thing everybody has to give to Stevie - in his day, he was the King of the guitar. Nobody else came close; he owned the instrument. Stevie's playing will always be hard to top.

  • @RastaIsAStateOfMind I really believe he was one with his guitar. That is soul plying there!!

  • Stevie was so aggressive that his attack was like that of an 800 Pound Gorilla on the Guitar channeling Jesus Christ playing the Blues.

  • Comment removed

  • just realized they titled this "ain't gone and give up" lol! Ain't goin' to give up on love. Haha! fucking foreigners...

  • wow are you kidding me what a channel I'm subscribing

  • i love the face he makes=3

  • I'm speechless that was incredible.

And all pop music sounds like a hipster cell phone commercial, (so shut up).

  • i would give anything to see srv again but my life, because then i couldnt see him :(

  • This man is ten men!

  • Pretty sure I listened to every single version of this on Youtube when I got dumped. SRV you are a genius.

  • You can listen to every version of this song and SRV never plays it exactly the same.

Someone said (it might have been Tommy Shannon or Jimmy Lee Vaughan,)that "Stevie never plays the same thing once!" Love it. :D I have a ringneck dove who starts singing along every time I put Stevie on. He loves Stevie, too :D

  • Stevie was so good he gave himself orgasms each time he played. For example, his face as he is playing right now on this video.

  • Noooo! Stevie was too GOOD! If heaven had background music it would be his. His music was so beautiful and it touchs your soul.

  • its very nice, and increiblke... STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN FOREVER...FROM PERU

  • his voice is perfect for such blues

  • I Love you are all videos :) Thanks

  • @Officialhiro8002096 It was worth staying up!

He was given a gift and he used it to the fullest!!

Speechless, but i will say WOW!! Thanks Hiro. :)

  • @countrychloe No, you should sleep.

    This video is the best.

  • siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh! LOVE love LOVE this one! 87'. Not sure if I even knew Stevie Ray existed at that time...would have been shortly thereafter though. To think I was 187 miles from him then pouring out this magic and I missed it :o) Love & miss Stevie forever.

  • Oh. My. God.

    Thanks for Uploading.

  • Pure SOUL....

  • Can you imagine going to a concert and hearing someone this talented today? He looks so young. He was so unique. And so unbelievably gifted!

  • SRV is and will always be my #1 guitar player!

  • He kicked your ass behind his back !! simple.

  • t just makes me want to get my clothes off

  • Miss you Stevie! You bring so much love to all! I will forever listen to your music! A talent so amazing! R.I.P.

  • thanks so much for sharing! God Bless SRV

  • one of the best guitarist to ever live and walk this earth. go man go.

  • This guy blows away 99% of the "professionals" playing the guitar today. The good die young, SRV was no exception.

  • Stevie didnt need drugs to be straight up intense!

  • Amazing version. It makes me want to cry tears of awesomeness. Best derivation of the song I've heard. rip srv :(

  • before rehab, definitely, but an amazing performance

  • @Srvrlz

Actually a year after rehab... that's how good this guy was. I never let a day pass without playing SRV

  • It's incredible!!!!!!!!

  • one of a kind we all need more of this

  • This has to be one of , if not the best blues performances of all time. There are plenty of great blues players but this performance is second to none. What heart and soul. Stevie took a little style from all of the greats and developed the most original soulful style of all. He has to be smiling down on us all. God bless SRV and long live his legacy. Everyone keep him in your heart........ R.I.P.SRV.

  • bought this as a boot back in 91 at a record show,, still my favorite of this song,, bless you brother Stevie

  • Man, even when Stevie screws up..it sounds good.

  • OMG

  • Man. Jimi Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire, anything live at the Filmore east and the birth of the blues in Chicago. I guess I'm really missing out since I gave up on love. this thing is smoking.

  • @AwakeLoner He never burned his guitar at the Fillmore, did he?

  • Read again. He said "anything live at Fillmore east", he didn't say lightning his guitar at the Fillmore East. As far as lightning his guitar, he probably meant when Jimi did it at the Monterey Pop Festival, 1967.

  • Gotcha, my bad

  • I was at Stevie's last show at Alpine Valley. I miss his passion and craft. Music wasn't life or death to him it was more important. He gave it everything he had, every time. God Bless Stevie. "Thank for all the love you passed our way."

  • @srvbluesrip Amen.

  • Every version sounds different! just to the montreaux version....sounds completly different!

  • Such a great soulfull solo with simple but poignant lyrics

  • Thanks to you Stevie, I have no given up on love eps. lately. Your message is loud, clear and real!!! RIP until I see you on the otherside.

  • I'm 20 years old and I would trade my youth to have seen him live.

  • I saw him in Montreal at the olympic stadium making the premiere of the Police and later on the year he died with Collin James made the opening..Both shows were impressing however as a friend of made noticed it sounded almost like a 2 hour solo..Which is great but sobriety has its place ..Anyway he left us too young too soon with too much too say and with time he would have become more zen like Clapton.

  • Right there with you. I'm 23 and I would do just the same.

  • I'm 18 and I'd be doing the same thing myself!

  • @89thirddegree Maybe someday, you'll be a great guitar player! :) I haven't given up on that, myself. Ironically, I've given up on love (he was wrong- love sucks and I was smart to say, "screw love") but I'll never give up on music! :) I love the guitar so much, it fills my heart. I wish I could have seen him live, too but I feel blessed to have discovered his music because it touched my life. I hope that doesn't sound creepy, but it is the truth.

  • @SaratheSlytherin

Don't give up on love. And I'm with you on the guitar and how SRV's music has touched you. The hair stands up on my arms and I get a chill up my spine many times when I listen to him. The man was gifted and channeled God's love through his fingertips. Not Creepy at all. Truth.

  • @89thirddegree As would I at 22 years old

  • @89thirddegree That brings a tear to my eye! I saw him 1986. I was mesmorized

  • @89thirddegree same here brotha!

  • @89thirddegree I think about that every day.

  • @89thirddegree seen him 5 times

  • @89thirddegree -- I saw SRV open for Santana. He blew the crowd away......

by the time Santana came on, everybody was spent. And then SRV joined in on Santana's set!!!!

    UNREAL.............

  • @89thirddegree ...Congratulations Kid!

  • well I did see him live, twice, and I have never seen anything like it. get al macombo dvd OMG

he was better live than on album, when he died I cried like a baby.

true master ... not of this earth

    SRV RIP

  • I am so amazed. This is one of my all time faves by Stevie.I have heard about 11 different live versions. And every time they are all full of feel and emotion, and man i just get chills.Stevie we Love you,and we aint never gonna give up on Love or forget you.You are still my hero.

  • Best version ever... Stevie rulez

  • Agree, full of fire and passion! This song made me decide to play the blues, in those I did not even know who Stevie was ;)

  • @dizzykrissi ive seen a better version somewhere... this ones nice but stevies done a really intense one.. im looking for it lol.. where the hell is it! i need my does of SRV

  • Se Clapton é Deus, Stevie é Pã, grande deus que infelizmente não era (e era) imortal...

  • Estupendo, maravilhoso, divino, fantástico....

    Miss you so much!

  • Really how can anyone take rap and hip hop seriously when you see something like this? An awsome talent using his guitar to wring every drop of emotion out of the song. Sorry 30 cent and enemaenema, et al...you can only dream of being this talented.

  • luv it, it brought tears to my eyes

  • The "Man" is one of a kind !!!

  • 'live at daytona beach' i got this on Amazon in the UK

  • In one word: sublime! SRV is the master of all times!

  • Comment removed

  • Scotch was definitely my favorite guitar of stevies next to number one. WOW listen to that tone!

  • Comment removed

  • Man this is so killer.. Someone who has this on DVD PLEASE contact me.. I've been a huge fan for 25+ years and have never been able to get this show on video, just audio.. Thanks :)

  • so this is the LIVE ALIVE album?!

  • No it's not, although another version of this song appears on Live Alive. This is Live at Daytona Beach.

  • No, but this one is WAAAAAY better than the one on Live Alive

  • seems like his strings are unusually close to the fretboard..usually he liked them having high action.

  • even gods fingers need a rest sometimes. and it could be that he wanted a different tone for this song

  • SOUL SOUL SOUL SOUL SOUL SOUL

  • My favorite version of this song by far.

  • Very, very good, but I think I still prefer the 85 Montreux version (though it is chopped together from two nights halfway through). The solo here in its entirety is probably better, but nothing reaches the urgency of the very beginning of the solo in the Montreux recording, and that's what really makes the song for me. It's a tough call, though.

  • For me this version of the song ranks up there with the ridiculous rendition from the bootleg Unforgettable Night.

  • What are you saying?

  • I was comparing this to the mp3 of Aint Gone Give up on Love from Unforgettable Night. Both are superb

  • It's back up! Thanks for posting this. Do you know anyway I can buy this on DVD?

  • It's never been released in the USA. If you look at Amazon's UK website, you can order it there. Type in Boogie with Stevie, or Stevie Ray Vaughan Daytona Beach

  • it might be a howard dumble amp..not sure

  • yeah the sss or "king tone consoule"

  • It's got a great tone!!

  • his tone was awesome..can anyone tell me what rig he is playing through in this performance..I can't get a good enough look at it.

  • I feel the same way!!!!

  • this is something that seriously brings tears to my eyes i literally feel every note he plays .

  • awesome!!!

    Stevie really was the best!!!

He could play the guitar behind his back with more soul than most people could do playing normal.

    Long live the blues

    and

    Long live STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN

  • Thanks for comment my video.

  • I am surprised this does not have way more than 28,000 views...

  • albert king on steroids equals to SRV!

  • Woooow!! GLEAT VID Thank you SRV5*

    love it

    I love this song

  • Hey! thanks you hiroshi! you are my friend
