i wonder how much you scratched your crank using that metal rod to get the piston out and then not covering the rod bolt threads. you should use a wooden rod to knock the piston out and always cover the threads so you dont have to have your crank turned if its not already messed up.
I notice on some of the bolts that I've seen that they have like a star or like a 12 pt head on them, can I still use a regular 6 pt socket on them or do I have to use a 12pt one?
well yeah that thing is sexy. lol. hey man get some pics up, i sent you a pm about my idea of a h/c/i , and i might go with the dart pro 1 aluminum heads instead cuz my buddy is gonna make me a deal on some.
Haha, hell yeah! Do it in an hr. Not really but yeah.
I went to an All Ford car show, I'll post up pics on the forums or something monday. My fox was one of the favorited ones...everyone said it was one of the nicest ones, and best sounding. It was sweet
Great video, I gotta Replace the rings on mine. GOnna be da first time. What size sockets do you use? I got my rings and gasket. my ratchet, torque wrench. But heres another thing i notice. but do i need to use a cylinder hone?
go to 0:24 . I said 1/2 in. And I didn't hone the block, I had another one, but yes, it would be a good idea to hone it and get the right size rings and even pistons if needed. If the rings are bad, you might need to do a small bore.
This is not the correct way to do it.

air tools are not good for things like that. try a torque wrench
TownTerrorist 2 years ago
torque wrench isn't good to loosen with. A breaker bar will do just fine.
