I've eating poultry this week... have a farm of over 200 birds... This is definately NOT how to do this.

We pick them up, carrying them like our baby and bring them, petting them the whole time, to the block.

Never had to chase one as they were very trusting.  Sharp knife, quick pull and gentle hold. Eyes goes shut immediately.

We hold them the whole time as the blood drains.

Hopefully, next time,your little hen won't get tortured before dying eh?
