  • @:19 I kept waitin to see some HOT 3 guy on guy blow job action.... but alas, twas only Skull Face \

  • 1:58 - Clip from the new The Darkness song "Nothings Gonna Stop Us"

  • 2:09 Crow: the Six Million Gold Piece Elf.

  • it glows and i'm concerned.

  • That was positively Ixabertian.

  • Hawk, I used to be an adventurer like you.....then I took an arrow in the knee

  • This is class - I even bought it on DVD. I like the fact that the Giant is that bloke from the 'Carry On' films, and the 'Haunted Wood' takes them about 8 seconds to walk through.

  • 4 fat lords in the north were raided.

  • Voltan. You shall die by this sword.

  • I'd rather eat cow dung. That can be arranged.

  • He may run like a dog but not I

  • I used to love this movie, to be honest this movie would do better as a TV serial during the 80's since some of the characters in there are quite interesting to know.

  • You missed out the best line!

THERE'S NO CURE FOR THIS FACE!

  • Let me raid the fat lords in the north!

  • Fantastic editing, my friend!!

  • its like d n d got together with western

  • and this got banned?

  • I wish I could walk into that theme every time I appeared

  • I thought I remembered Bernard Bresslaw being in this!

  • this movie is one of the worst pieces of crap i ever saw

  • What the fuck was Jack Palance thinking?

    God I love this film...

  • ok maybe some things should remain in my childhood memory !

  • Sequel? Really?? I mean you can`t top a classic like this.

  • I saw this on a double bill with Saturn, the one with the naked Kirk Douglas. How I escaped that cinema with my sanity, I will never know.

  • @jaxxstraw I saw the same double bill, too young to be seeing saturn 3 but this blew my tiny young mind. Back then. Not so much now.

  • GREAT FILM!!! first watched when iw as like 3 or 4.... amazing.

  • I don't care if Bilbo punches me in the face. Hawk the Slayer really was rubbish.

  • The Metal Band Griffin(is here on Utube) has a Awesome song by the same name.Hawk the Slayer-Recomended****

  • Just found out High Abbot was born in my town, he should at least have a statue erected in his honour.

  • "I will give you a message. The message - OF DEATH."

  • awww, you missed out the best bit! where Voltan yells "DROGOOOOO!" as drogo dies XD

  • I punched a bloke in the face once for saying Hawk The Slayer was rubbish.. But what I should've said was "Dad, you're right. Let's give Krull a try, and we'll discuss it later".

  • Is this a jest? That's a good one!

    It's no jest

  • i can see why bill bailey punched a man in the face for calling this shit,it looks right up his street.

  • There are NO best bits.

  • I think these guys were trying to make a western, i mean there are so many similarities, magnificent seven like group, Sergio Leone style showdowns and music

  • @johnhamilton08 You could be right. when this movie came out there was a complete sub culture going on...Dragon Slayer etc. based on the medievil/dungeon and dragon stuff. It was followed more closely by Bakshi's Fire and Ice and Legend. I do remember having to see it though. When geared to the thirteen year old mind it was pretty cool. This is litterally the second time I have seen any part of it. Again, I have to agree with you.

  • @godshackeysack1 also this wasn't me trying to say it was a bad thing, I think that's one thing that makes it interesting this is one of my guilty pleasures.

  • Got this one on DVD. Brings back a lot of memories. I always think of the late Bernard Bresslaw as a Carry On actor, but his role as "Gort" in this was pretty action packed. "Crow" was always pretty rapid with a bow. Very much liked his pure white arrows. Interesting to find out what "Hawk the Hunter" is going to be like? I've heard the great Tom Hardy is involved.

  • I was like you once. Blonde hair. Scraggy little beard. Child like ears. Full of beans and spunk. I let my principles get in the way sometimes. I punched a bloke in the face once for saying "Hawk the Slayer" was rubbish.

  • That sword was legendary! Would have been even better if it was flipping the bird.

  • It's almost painful to watch...it's SO bad.

    LOL

  • I have Hawk the Slayer. I've heard its incredibly rare.

  • @Harborx It's not that rare, it's available on DVD in the UK.My brother liked all these sword & sorcery flicks, I wasn't really into them that much.I think Krull was probably my fave of the bunch.

  • Loved the clearly Ennio Morricone inspired western music. It's so spaghetti. You forgot the "best" part though, the silly string that shoots from the witch's cane!

  • What the hell is the Hunchback talking about between "Welcome!" and "May Gold help ya!" ? Seriously, I dont understand ANYTHING! Lol

  • An automatic Crossbow? Like an M1-Garand with little arrows? Sweet! *thumbs up*

  • hard to believe that the film was made in 2005.

  • @AbsintheInChains Probably Hard to believe because it's not true. It was made in 1980.

  • @TorSverre I dont think so, it won 3 silver buscuit awards at the time.

  • @AbsintheInChains No idea what a "silver buscuit" is, but it's still released in 1980. So says IMDb, Wikipedia, and the clip itself has the Copyright showing as MCMLXXX, which is 1980.

  • @TorSverre yeah i think scoop doggy blog has it down in the top 10 flicks of 2005. Good stuff.

  • Such a classic bad movie with a capital B! Love it. This really made me laugh!!

  • I was looking for a Hawk the Slayer Tribute/Montage wont find it here. Music is good quality but you cut it at inappropriate moments. It stops and starts, you speed up some scenes etc. Cool you were doing a "speedrun"... guess my wait for a legendary homage to one of the all time great old skool fantasy films continues......

  • funny

  • lol

  • absolute rubbish.

  • hahah dude...awesome...."???" hahahahah! Morgan Shepperd will be at Comicon this year! Btw, the sequel was a lie.

  • Such a classic film.

"WIZZZARD..YOU PROMISED ME ALL, IN RETURN FOR MY...SWORD ARM"

I hope they don't balls up any remakes, like they did with the Wickerman, Doctor Who and will probably do with Blakes 7.

  • You gotta a guy who can fire a million arrows a second, and another with an SMG crossbow.....you're fucked going up against them.

  • Just goes to show ya... if you want to be a truly effective evil dude.. make sure not to wear an ill-fitting helmet into combat with Hawk the Slayer!!!

  • Shoot the twat with a penny whistle.

  • was that Christian Shepard from lost?

  • totally awesome! the best movie of the early D&D age!!! (when I played)

  • Yeah, I taped this movie off TV a ton of years ago.... wore the damn thing out.... finally found it on DVD, and I love it.... one of my all-time favorite movies EVER!!

  • *Stares judgmentally while flute music plays*

  • Awesome - laughed my ass off. Especially the cast list at the end! My favourite movie as a kid. So awful it's wonderful....good work :)

  • If you like fantasy movies with no budget check out

    movies on You Tube

    made by Shadowyn Films

    title: Soul Searching

  • Harrrr

"the revenge of the ping pong balls"

  • download this at tubemusicdownload com - thank me later!

  • ok, i'm gonna type what i think that fat slave trader says... after Welcome

'Spare the fanny's traitor you've ever seen forever trade for nothing. And play for with spad and may God help ya.'

  • This film has it all! The camp soundtrack, has-been actors who look like 80's pop stars, one who looks like spocks long lost brother and a left over from the carry-on days makes this film great. Then layer one some silly string and glowing paint means you have an avatar beater anyday! See how it glows lol.

  • I like how there's at least double the number of enemies everytime people start shooting.

  • Suggesting he looks like that poisoned dwarf chris de burgh is quite an insult, he should sue :)

  • What the hell is up with the machine gun bow?!

That's just plain weird! It's so weird it should be awarded.

I'm actually not kidding, who ever came up with this brilliant idea such get a prize. And if you don't agree, I've got three words for you.

    MACHINE GUN BOW!!!

  • It's called an Auto Crossbow. The Chinese developed it, except you needed to crank it to make it fire.

  • @Kalmageddon65 I think the Israelis are working on this now...

  • I'm dying of laughter

  • I loved this movie when I was 13. It's so bad it's good.

  • Love this film, I even have the soundtrack on Record.. Probably very rare..

  • considering they only sold one, yeah, I bet it is...

  • A classic film!

  • I love how the climactic swordfight look like they were trying to move in slow motion... not that it was film slowed down for dramatic effect.

  • I love this movie. I think they did a damn good job on the budget they had, imagitive, funny, action packed fun loving piece of sword and sorcery cheese!

  • I don't care how "low-budget" or how "cheesy" this movie is...it's one of my faves. Absolutely. All-time.

Some good scenes you should have included:

The dwarf eating the raw fish.

Jack Palance's wizard-mentor shooting the crystal-beam in his eye.

More Elf rapid-fire bow shooting (gotta love that).

More "auto" crossbow shooting (what a concept).

    Luv 'Hawk The Slayer'.

    5 stars.

  • this is film is hilarious man, jack palance is bloody brilliant! if you're skint and want a laugh with yer mates on a friday night then get the beers and watch!

The soundtrack is especially billiant-does anyone know if you can get the soundtrack?

  • See how it grows!

  • Hawk The Slayer is rubbish!

  • Legolas can't touch this!

  • Auto Crossbow 4 Life

  • Hawk the Hunter cometh!!

  • Let me raid the fat lords of the north(?)

  • 'He may run like a dog, but not I'

A quote I still use today.

  • A true 'Hawk' fan I see.

  • great vid, but you left out the part when Drogo dies and Palance goes DROGOOOO!!

  • That was amazing.

I used to love this film.

  • I see! i see! I SEE HOW IT GLOWS!

  • i enjoyed this film as a kid, i'm glad they are making a squeal

  • Hoho! I am so glad I never saw this movie! What a stinker!

  • An automatic crossbow?

  • Fuck that mate, automatic bow!

  • Great movie

    Fair try.

  • greatest movie, or greatest movie?

  • hahaha we used to play a drinking game every time his little flute soundtrack played .. needless to say we got fucked up

  • @Corpsewrangler

ha ha ha good times !!!

  • Dear god this is crap lol

  • I just found out about the sequel being in pre production. Legendery

  • If this is true, then the Hollywood gods have indeed smiled down upon us this day.

    SEE HOW IT GLOWS!

  • Glory to those gods then for it is no word of a lie (unless it's a VERY elaborate one). Tom Hardy is set to succeed Jack Pallance in the role with various others being speculated over for the role of Voltan. "Hawk the Hunter" they're calling it..

  • I'll be camping outside the cinema in a sleeping bag the night before it opens with only a sword for company!

  • and some roast chickhen (holy food) smuggled in?

  • Oops I meant to say "Tom Hardy is et to succeed John Terry in the role (of Hawk)" no word yet on who might be Voltan.

  • @Hecatean You are no messenger. But you gave US a message: The message of AWESOME!!

  • @kuribayashi84 Sadly I now have to give you the message of suck. That was two years ago and still no word, I'd love to be wrong but it looks like it's been shelved.

  • My brothers and I adored this film in all its glorious atrocity when we were kids in the 80s. You've done a wonderful job here - particularly with the little Hawk theme tune and the Hunchback's incoherence, the subtitle touch had me in stitches.

I would also have added Jack Palance's "You should never have been allowed to dig yourself out of the earth!" crack to the dwarf.

  • jack "valance" palance gives a subtle, yet powerful performance, like an expensive power shower.

  • Love the machine gun crossbow.

  • Wow, pretty much a blatant rip off of Eastwood's "Man with no name" show downs and complete with the flute/whistle tune...

  • what a film, also krull is up there with my favourite childhood movies... priceless i tell you

  • line 1: "They don't call Sped the finest trader on the River Shale for nothing."

line 2: "Play foul with Sped, and may God help you."

(Sorry, but I know this movie like the back of my hand...)

  • I watched this flim loads of time with my daughter, its become a sort of family tradition with us, it was great to watch it again, thanks!

  • LOL i love that bit where he's facing those two guys in the woods, it's EXACTLY like the good the bad and the ugly xD

  • Don't know where the end credits came from? but John Terry played Hawk' not Chris De Burgh.

  • great movie, thanks for the video

  • I love this film! Thanks for posting.

  • great flick please watch this .. thanks for posting

  • I must see this...

I loved the rapid shot fire scene in the woods. Truly Excellent.

  • WTF ? Since the special effects came out of a Cornflakes packet (along with some of the actors by the looks of things, the exception being Jack Palance (God rest his soul)) as a 12 year old kid this was entertaining fun and still has a kitsch value.Liked the theme tune too.

  • in the words of Bill Bailey Hawk the slayers shit lol

  • this isnt slayer

  • What?

  • I saw this at the local ABC when I was 14 and sad to say, rather liked it. My only defence is that it was a double bill with that other great movie, Saturn 3, which is about an elderly Kirk Douglas boffing Farrah Fawcett. Against Kirk's nude scenes and the sheer ick factor, anything would've been preferable.

  • lol

    SEE HOW IT GLOWS!

and the random lasers flying around

  • If looks could kill...

Since all he bloody does is stare at them! XD

  • That's some mighty fine posing the hero does. And you gotta love that faux-spagetti Western music.

  • Sped (Declan Mulholland) was the original human Jabba and his HTS lines go something like (pre editing), "Welcome! Welcome, friends! I have some fine slaves for you to buy today. They don't call Sped the finest trader on the River Shale for nothing! Play square with me and I'll play square with you. But play foul with Sped and my god help you!"

That's from memory (long ago) so I'm not 100% about it.

  • o dear lord

  • "I am no messenger. But I will give you a message! A message...of death!!"

This movie should win for Best Screenplay every year.

  • my dad took to the pictures to see this when it came out, was about 7 i guess, thought it was kick ass then as it is now but strangely my wife doesn't.....women hey?!

  • Hey, My girlfiend thinks Evil Dead is "unrealistic"? I mean, What? Let's compare it to a normal Demon invasion shall we!

  • "I am no messenger,but I will give you a message...the message of Death!"

I'm pretty sure they ripped that from Shakespeare.

  • I also think (and I could be wrong) but the actor playing sped is the same guy that played jabba the hut in the original star wars scene at mos eisley. The scene was cut in the original but i think it is available as an extra somewhere.

  • And hey... what's that bit that Sped says before "Cut 'im down!" anyway?

  • He says "will no-one rid me of this madman? Cut 'im down"

  • Brilliant job! The bit with Sped was genius! Only by prefacing it with "The hunchback may have many things to say!" could you have gone one better.

Having now dealt that criticism, it's likely I shall die by your hand.

  • hawk the slayer is quite possibley the best movie ever made.

in the last fight between the brothers, hawk looks like he actually not slowed down, he seems to block voltan's attacks even before they start!! sequel needs making!!

  • Holy Balls, I just found out that Hawk is Jacks Dad on Lost...wow!!!!!

  • I had a vague memory o this movie... I can't believe I found it. Thanks for posting.

  • this is the worst/best film ever. hawk and crow are the greatest actors of all time (:P). best bits - crow 'actin', then the glowing ping pong balls and the silly string lol

  • rofl the appearing-music was briljant, and the editing too, it made it very funny. And what the hell ---> Arrows. They re-used them every time or some shit? Omg and those colors LOL. Great vid.

  • I almost believed that it really was Chris de Burgh

  • Nice. Leaner than the theatrical cut.

    Here's my guess:

"They don't call me Sped, the finest trader on the river Shale, for nothing"

"...but play foul with Sped and may God help you"

  • Haha! Genius! But how the hell could you hear that? I'm guessing it's probably right.

As a reward, I'll let you raid the fat lords in the north!

  • How could I hear it? By watching that movie dozens of times when I was a kid.

I wonder whether fat lords in the North were the fat barons that Gort was going to work with at the end of the movie. "Who wants to work with fat old barons anyway?"

  • I think so. I watched it a couple of months ago and definitely thought they were the same guys.

  • This is genuinly brilliant. Fantastic.

    Rofl. fx

  • Hawk was John Terry, not chris deburg

  • You're clearly wrong, because it says Chris DeBurgh on the ending credits!

    Have you no eyes!?

  • Oh, come now, he's clearly played by Mike Oldfield.

  • thats been altered to say chris Deburgh

  • I wish I had music like that guy, every time I appeared somewhere!

  • Haa haa aha... I wish I lived my life in a series of unrelated flashbacks

  • This can only be Rhiannon!

  • Fantastic! XD A masterpiece as usual.
