  • A very ecumenical hymn. I know Baptists, Lutherans, Prebyterians (and other reformed folks), Anglicans (which I am), and even Roman Catholics that sing it. All that's missing is the Eastern Orthodox communion.....but it's still ecumenical enough.

  • Holy indeed. Glorious music in praise of God, played at a marvelous organ.

    Thank you for uploading it.

  • I totally freaked when the console starting going down into the floor. I've seen other theater organs lowered into the Orchestra Pit, but right into the center of some donut type hole....never, really odd.

  • I'd love to hear him play that on the Wanamaker organ.

  • All the comments on the key-change at the end. It's interesting how some people like it, and others don't. It's very subjective.

Theatre organist are very good at keychanges. Some of the better theatre organists can play a song.... in any key that is requested.

  • That is a bloody incredible sound, it really stirs the emotions. For me at least though, it was a shame to spoil it with that overblown ending, and i'm not talking about the console being lowered into the floor!

  • That ending was spectacular!

  • i like it

  • Such a glorifying testament to God's never changing righteousness and glory.

  • beautiful!

  • I'd pay top dollar to any teacher who would teach me to play like this! its my dream to be able to play like this :D

  • Why don't roman catholic churches have organs like this?

  • @worldchampion1986 They do, just not all of them. Same with Protestants, some do some don't.

  • Wow, he really fucked-up at the end, didn't he?

  • @uptown132 No, he just "changed keys" or "modulated". It took me a few times listening to the ending to again hear the melody. Really reset my ears when he changed keys like that at the end.

  • @JoePeterzak I keep trying, but I just cannot get my head around it, or even start to like it!

  • For a second I thought... why is the organ rolling away! then I realized it wasn't... it was being lowered! ha!

  • Fine playing on that magnificent organ. Wonderful arrangement. Bravo!

  • Soo cool to have that revolving platform to lower the console. The Mighty Wurlitzer in Wichita, KS doesn't do that, alas...

  • What an amazing instrument!

  • ...after seeing this...I have a feeling that attempting to learn how to play the pipe organ is going to kill me. Well, it would be well worth it <3

  • @MaskedMarauder8 No, I've been playing it for 27 years and as far as I know, I am still alive.

  • Wow....Really nice : )

I love this hymn and sometimes play in my church..

  • This console looks very similar to the one John Ledwon has in his home in Agoura California

  • This trumpet stop is very loud! I'd love to compete with it!!

    TM :)

  • The audience sang along

  • Amazing! What a gorgeous console..this is not in a Church?? Oh my! :)

  • okayyy why did he sink in the floor? that was scary lol

  • @squidgetpj92 when?:D

  • @squidgetpj92 its pretty obvious..somewhere towards the end

  • Yep. All in all, a very "Lutheran" organ!

  • @pipeorganman1 The owners of the organ, and the estate, however, are VERY Catholic...lol

  • Just love that console - so tasteful, so modest, so understated. They don't make 'em like that any more.

  • it' good

  • Yes. This was a fund raiser for a Lutheran school.

  • Was this a church group visiting the estate? How many ordinary "non churched" people know the words to Holy, Holy, Holy! Great arrangement and yes, I too have been here!

  • Have mercy!!!!! This is a beast of an Organist. Those Chord changes at that last verse makes one unable to sing along. You just wanna listen.

  • Makes a refreshing change to hear a theatre organ played straight :-)

  • @goodchappy - I wouldn't exactly call it straight, what with the bells and so on... but I'd love to hear Franck, Tournemire, Vierne etc on a Wurlitzer!

  • @TheMysticalOrgan He didn't use tremulants for the pipes, which I much prefer :-)

  • I love the way he just slowly sinks away into the floor !!!

  • Great Performance, Awesome Organ. WIsh I had been there for the performance. Keep up the good work.
