When children are young they tend to look the same for the most part, this is why people in japan sometimes dress up boys in girl's clothes at young ages. It's sometimes harder for guys to pull off a more feminine look as they get older. Either that or society is against men displaying any sort of femininty(sp?lol) be it for cosplay or just in general.
