  • @SSmizzoBB Because it is a life sized link(nintendo character, in case you didnt know xD) someone sent in pics of.

  • cardoboard?

  • Hey i have an idea:

You know how when you press something in clay and it leaves an impression? Well if you have a + extension attach to your model and have a shell as in the 'impression' to hold it in place it would be very sturdy. _ _ l l_ l_ _ l <------------ extension, then a inverse form of that for the conector, it's like lego technic l_ l

  • it looks like a paper link massacre.

  • LOL it dose look like a massacre what did you do to link? xD

  • *applause*

  • that Arm-protector looks great! i'll build it for a cosplay i think xDD

    great job dude :D

  • i just got a new printer day before yesterday... and i want to at least build the head... all i need is a butt-load of ink...

  • It's looking awesome, Haywan.

I can't wait for you to release it, I really want to build it.

  • and oh, by the way, can you tell us how long it took you to make this? i want to see if i can build this b4 summer ends...

  • I've built the head so far, and that took me 3 looooong days (About 10 hours a day. Good thing I had nothing better to do) If you've got enough time you might be able to do it

  • it's up already?

omg i bet the paper and glue will cost over $50 lol

  • I can get 250 sheets for $15 and black/tricolour cartridges for $40. I went through the remainder of one for the head and started on a new one for the body. I'll probably go through at least one more by the time it's all done. So probably close to $100 just for this model

  • wow...so expensive, i wonder if i buy a life size figure, maybe out of plastic or something, would it cost that much?

  • btw, i can't find the download link on the page, is it out yet?

  • As a response to a plastic model, that would probably be more expensive. I have a copy of the pieces minus the hands, sword/sheath and shield, but I think it's at the discretion of the creator as to whether or not he wants to release a download link publicly. If he gives the ok then I can share it.

  • oh so he didn't post it yet, ok, thanks

  • He's released downloads for several versions of this, all with different textures.

  • If you can find a pack of 250 sheets of paper you've got more than enough for this project. Usually that's somewhere around $15-$20. Glue's pretty cheap too, and the stuff he uses I actually use too and it works really well. It's really the ink that kills you as you'll probably go though 2 or 3 depending on your settings

  • can you sell this?? i'm kinda sure you won't cuz if i made that i would put it into a showbox and never sell it...but ya, will you sell it? I AM a huge fan of link....ya... thanks

  • What grade of card are you using?.. Sounds really thick.

  • 65 lbs or 250 gsm paper

  • No wonder! O.O

And how many blades have you used cutting all this? :3

And about the fastening idea.. Sound's good.
