  • @asammieawa So when are you going to tell your dad that you suck cock?

  • @asammieawa

Lil wayne would be lucky to be Jay. He's built an Empire, Weezy is good, but he owes it to Jay who paved the way for Hip Hop.

  • @thirst4sixty8 paved the way not even close you think he paved the way then you dont know hip.

-jay-z the one and only never be passed never be matched

  • @789films Just b/c you haven't gone out to look for better quality lyricism doesn't mean it does not exist because Jay-Z is definitely not the best...he is top 20 if that...he had his time.

  • @AryanPersianProdigy top 20??? HAHAHAHAAHA I laughed ........... srlsy?? 20??? My nigga jigga is top 1

  • @orimusho Jay-Z will never acknowledge you so stop riding his dick. Mainstream rap heads are SOOO HILARIOUS! Your dumb ass doesn't know the first thing about rap. You aren't even aware of the underground artists that SHIT on Jay-Z lyrically. Mainstream artists obviously get more recognition than the UNDERGROUND, hence the name. Underground artists are known for their potent, profound lyricism over dope instrumentals. Jay-Z had has time but hes nowhere near number 1. LEARN SOMETHING

  • @AryanPersianProdigy i love hoodlums aka internet thugs. go get a life would ya! thank you. shall i say "sensitive thugs you all need hugs"? HAHAHA IM LAUGHING MY ASS OFF.

  • @orimusho haha your a loser, no wonder people were fucking with you

  • @789films Nas destroyed him in "Ether"

  • @mclovin435190 I dont know i'm not jay-z but iv'e never heard that quote in a biggie song

  • Cant Knock The Hustle- Classic Jay

  • so smooth...

  • such a ill song.. rest in piss jayz fuck shawn carter

  • "My pops knew exactly what he did when he made me / he tried to get a nut, and he got a nut and what"

One of the greatest lines I ever heard in the history of anything

  • people don't say the same thing about u forever .. change is Inevitable

  • CLASSIC!!!!!!!! WHO ELSE CAN DO IT?

  • you guys arguing about rap are a waste of life....

  • @ATYT19 oh my god yes!! seriously tho hip hop aint shit, but jays music is nice. but these stupid coons sittin up arguing over this shit really are a waste of life like you said.. besides Heavy Metal is the best music genre ever everyone knows it

  • @popohere you prolly rock AFI and slipknot/ stonesour...faggot

  • @popohere I could easily make a case for hip hop being the greatest music culture ever, but I appreciate other peoples' music tastes so I'll leave it...see what I did there?

  • @popohere

Yeah heavy metal and rock requires skill. I could'nt agree more. These rappers just talk into a mic they could'nt play an insturment to save their life. I saw a video on youtube of lil wayne trying to play a guitar.... it was embarrassing he was so terrible. Lil faggot motherfucker. I listen to rap sometimes but that is as far as I get around the hood and blacks;0

  • @lefthandofanubis I'm sorry, but I hate when people make that "rap isn't music" argument simply because they don't play instruments. For one, many rap artists DO use live instruments, especially in their concerts. I'm assuming you never been to live Jay-Z concert, but he in fact does use a live back-up band and they're quite good. In fact I like him live even better than listening to his albums. Secondly, they don't just "talk" into a mic. Who talks in rhythym? It's an extension of poetry.

  • @Antrizzle2009 Yeah I hear ya. These people typically have never truly TRIED to rap. Especially to the same ability as MC's like Jay-Z. It's NOT an easily acquired skill and most people simply can't even do it. If you ask me, it's truly an art. This comes from someone who prefers listening to genres like jazz, blues, and rock purely for the instrumentation. I can't knock the hustle, haha

  • @sneekman It's funny the mention those genres the origins of rap come from them ironically. I mean if you go back to the early days of hip hop in the late 70's into the 80's, you can clearly here the influences of jazz, blues, and rock. In fact, I've heard some historians call James Brown the first "hip hop artist" lol.

  • @Antrizzle2009 It's true, he's not particularly hip-hop but he certainly paved the way quite clearly. If you ask me, hip hop is like an amalgamation of the best elements of the best kind of music from the past several decades. I like to think of hip-hop like a blender. It's a filter and genre all it's own respect, and it's also a reflection of the past several decades. Also, a sidenote: As far as blues goes, it's the center of the musical universe as far as I'm concerned, y'know?

  • @sneekman Oh I agree. You see influences of blues in all forms of modern music.

  • @Antrizzle2009 Hey man, since you seem to be more knowledgeable regarding music than 99% of youtube users, I have a question for you. Would you say that blues came from jazz or do you think of them as two separate genres entirely? I've heard arguments both ways but I just can't see how blues could have come from jazz personally.

  • @sneekman That's a good question and honestly I'm not sure if I know enough about the origins of each to give you a good answer. I'd like to think jazz was influenced by blues, hence blues came first but I'm not 100% sure. I'd have to do some more research but good question!

  • jay-z is a joke of his former self

  • @greenview91 jay-z obviously isnt as good as he was in the past (Ex: this track) but Lil Wayne is straight shit and everyone knows it. He's nowhere near Jay's level and he never EVER will be

  • i luv da way dis song start off......shit give me fuckin chills

  • I agree w/thugceo23

  • not da biggest Jay z fan but Reasonable Doubt hands down better than anything these new niggas putting out

  • Watch the throne.... smh

  • This is my favorite Jay-Z track

  • @TheInfamous2pat Me too.

  • THIS IS WHEN I WAS FEELIN JAY Z

  • dont really like jay-z but this is a fuckin classic

  • Thank you Michelle Rodriguez.

  • TEN Lil wayne fans got lollipops knocked outta their hands

  • @EyeOfHoruss lololololololololololololol

  • @EyeOfHoruss lmaoo

  • @EyeOfHoruss lil wayne is definitely better than present day jay-z without a doubt

  • @greenview91 greenview91 your fucking retarded

  • @greenview91

He couldn't be better than Jay Z Past OR Present even if he had Angel wings with pac or BIG ghost writing for him....... Cmon son

  • @SithLordNefaar022 lmao!!

  • @EyeOfHoruss yeahhh because lollipop is the only song hes made, ever

  • Don't ever let me see rick ross's name on here. He ain't no jigga

  • To who ever said rick ross and jay should get together. You dumb. Jay z got talent n money. Ross just got money. Ross is a paper gangster

  • would love to see a jayz/lupe album

  • @csmithfiveonethree Rather see a j.cole and jayz but that would work too

  • my two favorate rappers are jayz and lil wayne

  • @supafamouskid how can you even say lil wayne in the same sentance as jay-z?

  • @supafamouskid Bro. u need to listen to some pac and biggie.

  • this is the best produced song I have ever heard, I want to produce songs like this. I can't even figure out what instruments were used to make this

  • wow, 7th grade

  • LAME AF!!

  • BABY ONE DAY YOULL BE A STAR

  • @626dannie you said it broooo

  • Seriously this is the Jigga I miss. Everyone grows and their talent gets larger but did her really have to go with the evil, satanic illuminati shit??? No, but he did, dolla dolla bill ya'll. Smdh. I will remember him this way and everything 2001 and prior.

  • @TiffThomas82 Lolwut? Satanic? There's nothing satanic about his shit.

  • @Dmega007 Nah nothing satanic about this song...u misunderstood. Im saying he's on that satanic shit now...MAJORLY, back then he wasn't. Where in my comment did I say this song was?

  • why is scarface in this?

  • Classic??? NAS is classic material...

  • @1Labonnevoie how the fuck is reasonable doubt not a classic? Illmatic is a classic but as a fan of hip hop how can you not consider reasonable doubt almost flawless? Track one till it's done...

  • @1Labonnevoie GET A LIFE

  • @1Labonnevoie NaS is good but overrated, hating on Jay is just foolish and Reasonable Doubt is definitely a classic, do your research.

  • they had a poll on our radio station who was the better rapper out of jay-z and eminem and eminem won. i'm just confirming who is best, and that is JAY-Z.

  • SSimplebowman. Ur a liar. This intro is not from scarce foolish nigga

  • You know how long it took me to realize the beginning is a straight sample from Scarface?! I saw the movie a long time before I heard this album, and then I saw it again and was confused as to why I knew the entire dialogue between Tony and that one guy. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY

  • jasz is the truth wish him and rick ross would do something together giving us the lavage life lyrics we can relate to instead of this stuff these other so called rappers are spitting because thats all there doing is spitting saying nothing

  • @cecefat101

that didn't even make sense bro. what?

  • $EY YE$ (Jay-z Can't knock the hustle)

Some do it for pleasure, some do it because of hunger pain the last resort.

  • I don't even like Jay-Z but reasonable doubt is a great album as a whole.

  • his best song

  • really, your youtube ID is "shzzledizzle"

  • man i fuccin HATE when rappers put scarface quotes and try to talk like tony montana on their tracks that shit is straight CORNY. that shit is sooo lame

  • @shizzledizzle this is back in 96 before that was overplayed. i agree though

  • @shizzledizzle

it's a style, dude. called "mafioso" rap. u gotta really know hip-hop to know about that. its kinda throwback.

  • This album is the dopest this dude ever put out.all other albums is just ass!!!

  • 8 People knocked out there hustle

  • why play with fire, burn. we get together like a choir to acquire what we desire, we do dirt like worms, produce g's like sperm, 'til legs spread like germs, I got extensive hoes, with expensive clothes and I sip wine, and spit vintage flows but y'all dont know...

  • You can't knock the hustle

  • I first bought this album in 1996 when I was studying Pharmacy in B.C. I loved it so much that I bought the record plagues for this album and Illmatic off eBay. Life is great and I love hip hop with a passion no matter what.

  • do you know something about cocaine?

  • one of the sickest basslines ever. simple but great.

  • Man, i got through some rough times listening to this one.

  • Comment removed

  • And since Im here commenting AGAIN... whats one more play? lol

  • As iron sharpens iron so does a man sharpen the countenance of his friend. There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. For one to have friends he must first show himself to be friendly.

  • And while Im here Im going to play the song again...lol

  • ur not playa if u dnt fuck wit dis

  • Fuck young money its big money over here

  • Classic album, after Nas "Illmatic", "Reasonable Doubt" and The Chef's "OB4CL" became the new corner stones of hip hop.

Everything today was built from Jigga and Raekwon s classic albums (and pac and big obv), real talk.

At this point Jay was so ahead of his time, you can bump this shit today and it's still current to niggas, plus every song on this joint was body bag.

Search Eddie Pesos "Maria's Scarf" and "Hayley" Puerto Rock kid from PA droppin' ill joints on the mic.

  • Wonder why they didnt use the actual sample from Scarface at the beginning? Why bother using other peoples' voices?

  • @UngratefulLiving420 Pain In Da Ass is the shit. Get lost lol

  • @kingquazy yea just like oasis?

  • @UngratefulLiving420 What do Liam and Noel Gallagher have to do with Scarface and Carlito's way sample clearances? The guy is a Hip-Hop staple as in intro or interlude feature. Im GLAD they used "other peoples' voice". Thats all I was saying. His name is Pain In Da Ass, and he's now a star thanks to this album....

  • @kingquazy I got you. All I'M saying, is I think the actual clip from the movie sounds more authentic and bad ass. Just like on Fabolus' "The Bad Guy", the same effect isnt generated when someone tries to impersonate Tony Montana, or in this case, Omar Suarez.

  • @UngratefulLiving420 Pain In Da Ass did that one also lol

  • the best

  • What cocksucker put dislike? Dudes is haters I ain't gonna say Hov is the best but he's one of the best I like Pac too but damn ppl act like there can only b 1 great rapper

  • damn jay z suck where tupac when u need him.. oh right he was a real gangsta and died cuz he was so real not some gothic ass nigga

  • King Hov @KebbyTheProphet

  • Jay should come out with a Reasonable Doubt 2

  • @historyghosthunters only hasbeens come out with sequels to debut albums

  • @Wgivens93 he is a hasbeen lmao

  • @noszondi jay z has 11 number one albums and if he released another one this year it would be twelve you can call jay alot of things but a hasbeen isn't one of them

  • @Wgivens93 little girls (teens, boys and girls) control the music industry, your statistics dont mean shit, i cant think of one song, jay z came out with in the past 6 years, that im ever gonna listen to again, he blows now

  • @noszondi its not that he blows its just how it sounds if you listen to the lyrics you see hes still got it

  • @historyghosthunters the only thing jay z talks about anymore is how cool he thinks he is, he made a song called ny state of mind but it has nothing to do with new york, its all aboutmaking himself look good, his music doesnt mean anything anymore. that might be one of the reasons that shitty artists like lil wayne and rick ross are actually out doing jay now-a-days.

  • @noszondi you dont think jay is still one of the G.O.A.T s of all time cause i do sure he talks bout that shit but think back at big and pac they talked bout that stuff i dont think you hate them you only hate on jay cause you think he illuminati or some bullshit like that

  • @noszondi has been is someone who was once successful but no longer isn't and he is very much successful therefore he isn't a hasbeen regardless of if his music sucks or not but his music doesn't suck and if you have heard at least one album he has made in the past 6 years you'd know the statement you made was stupid

  • @Wgivens93 wow, that was the most annoying thing ive ever read. jay z was good, he sucks now. period. i consider that a has-been. btw when you get specific like that you might catch a right hand to the jaw, it makes you look like a fag

  • @noszondi jay z still is the best. and since you arent webster you cant go around changing definitions like that jay z isnt a hasbeen google the definition. and the fag is the one who threatens people on the internet

  • @Wgivens93 i didnt change any definitions or threaten anyone, im looking out for you, you look like a huge faggot when you type things, just dont say them out loud

  • @noszondi read your comment, read the definition of hasbeen and you'll see that those two dont correlate and no i dont sound like a "huge faggot" because i dont agree with your opinion and im sure i can fend for my self

  • @Wgivens93

    me - "jay z is a has-been"

you - "hes not a has-been by definition"

*everyone in the room notices that your a buzzkill*

do you understand why your so annoying now? nobody gives a fuck what it means by definition, as long as you understand what i mean by it, its called context

theyre are so many annoying little kids just like you lol
