Hi dude! first of all I've to say to you that the video is only a training session without waves, and just for fun [ we have done it for our friend " the Guru" that was the first skimboarder in italy 25years ago.. hi is 42 years old... =) ]..

As you can see we only ride little waves in this video and only do it for fun...

In Italy the level of skimboarding is not as good as in the rest of the world.. but we try to compete also with other riders to improve ourself..

We only do Wave skimboarding.. the flat one [with moves as shovits] we do when we begin skimboarding a lot of years ago.. but in the East coast of Italy there are a lot of very good skimboarders that do it [it seems that they skate!!]

If you are interested in it this is my curriculum..

I start skimboarding in 2002 only as a summer game, then in 2006 it become my sport..

in 2007 I finished 2nd @ Italian Skimboard Tour

again in 2007 I was 4th @ Skimblood Flat skimboard contest

Then again in 2007 I was the first Italian Skimboarder that go out of Italy for an european competition @ MED' TOUR [CANNES, France]

in 2008 - again @ MED' TOUR

In 2008 - I Represents ITALY @ Voodoo International Skimboard Contest [BARCELLONA, Espana] where i ride real good waves with a lot of champions as Morgan Just, Hugo Santos, Mega, Rafa Castillo and all the Europe champions..

I know that my level is not so hight to compete with them, but i try to do my best always thinking that Skimboarding is my life and that I love have fun doing it!

hey , what skimboard ur using? is it a foam?

yes, all the boards in this vid are foam boards..

Luca Quaglia [first rider] use a "surf thec" with fiberglass [a serial board very light and reactive].

Gabriele Monaco [second rider] use a "Varua" [hand made] in Epoxy & Eglass [a good kind of fiber glass]

Andrea Salzano [the last in the video] use a "DUNE" hand made in Epoxy & Sglass [the best kind of fiber glass]..

in this video there weren't good waves.. we hope to make a new one with more big waves!!

nice .. i want a foam skimboard T_T ... coz im only using wood fiber coated .. is it easier to ride on waves when ur using foam?

yes Dude.. it's grat with a foam board.. with it you can "surf" the waves that arrives on the beach!!

Io sicuramente e se riesco porto un bel pò di gente dalla Francia a gareggiare con noi [tutti quelli contro cui ho gareggiato al Med tour anche quest'anno.. ormai faccio solo tappe fuori dall'italia..]..

Quaglia può solo dopo il 18 ottobre.. quindi speriamo che ci sia mareggiata quando c'è anche lui, così che possa partecipare il team al completo!
