actually catalytic convertors cause a lot of pollution because when they r cold the car releases more co and other nasties; many only do short journeys of less than 10 minutes so all them cars r poisoning us!

U can smell a cat when cold, it smells nasty.

The truth is that diesel is just more honest about what it does to the environment. Gasoline, as far as I know, pollutes much more than diesel, but you just can't see it nearly as well with the naked eye.

Diesel does pollute way more toxic gas than a gasoline car.

Here in europe everybody is hyping the diesel cars for beeing efficent and good for our eniroment...

there is a good reson why modern diesel carry a whole chemic-laboratory unterneath the car.

The car is a turbo diesel. When they are adjusted to full fuel load they smoke. But with that car, smoke means LOTS of horsepower.

diesels never use all the air they inhale so, to use up more air they overfuel but u get smoke as the diesel has less oxygen to use at end of injection.

Agree with Relix90; turbo diesel @ 700 hp would mean more then 1k NM easy; no "stock axle; gearbox" is going to handle that. Even you do get parts that can deal with that, you need to reinforce the body of the car aswell. Seems a lot easier (and cheaper) to get a " stock" high performance car.

1st of all: the runs they made are NOT equailevent to 700hp cars... 2nd: if the car has 700hp and is a DIESEL.... how much NM would it have? over 1400?! there is absolutely no way

first of all: all the 190D (w201) come with 2.5 TD 5 cylinders from germany as standerd engine 130-140 hp.

the engine that i notice in the black car is 6 cylinder. so there two engine come with that the 603 or 606.

The 603 is two engine one of them come with turbo both is standerd 4 (w124) from(160-195 hp).

The 606 is turbo diesel for the 1995 (w124) 250hp.

after u add the next level turboand ather equipement may it goes to 390-450 hp.
