I'm lucky enough to live near the Spyderco outlet, they have a Native display case there. I think one of the ones on display was a custom that had the blade acid etched to look damascusy. They've got some cool custom stuff there, I'm hoping to do a video with them soon.

@WesternBushcraft theres a foundry in Alabama making "Damascus" steel. Its the closest youll come to true damascene steel. Its not an acid or laser etching, its actually layered and forged steel

Why buy crappy rip-offs? China has some good manufacturers.. San Ren Mu and Enlan for example. Their knives are good, and inexpensive. You should check them out. I have one of each and I can attest to their quality.

I got a fake Spyderco from Dealextreme...never made it through UK customs though. Our knife laws are weird, i can't have anything locking/gravity flip etc...but i can have a Rambo knife no problems. Go figure that one out.
