  • The only issue I have is crap new age music being enjoyed by the tasteless.

  • @MissEgasMoniz

haha reallly now. well looks like someone doesn't orgasm enough. jesus christ have a drink, smoke some weed, get over your self and realize that many people regardless of the fact that they are not as pretentious as you, can love exceptional music just like anyone else. good god you bloody music nazi.

  • @luvslezyeah calm down mate - its alright....I was being a bit of a prick i admit to that. Magraw needs to find a band and branch out from the Windham Hill sound.

  • have somebody the tab?

  • where is tabs for foxfireee!!!!

  • Too new age and bland for my taste

  • @MissEgasMoniz You have major issues then

  • I clicked here to see if there would be any firefox puns, Ha.

  • palm muting the Fuck out of it, in the begging! haha

  • He's totally lost in the moment. Now thats feeling right there.

  • I never knew one could achieve such sounds from an acoustic guitar!!!

  • I liked the part with the guitar.

  • HEY!!!WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN ANDY MCKEE'S KINGDOM!!!??

  • 2:26-holy fuck

  • 0.00 to 5.41 was the best part ^^

  • I just love this guy's music! He is not just perfect technically, but the deep emotions in his music are just fantastic. There is a little sadness in all his "happy" songs, and there is a little happiness in all his "sad" songs.

Once I saw him playing live on stage. Unbelievable. Great. Super cool.

  • worst shirt in the world.

    strongest wrist in the world.

  • Respect thats all i got to say

  • it's like he's just strumming and the melody conveniently comes in. it's amazing that he could do all that with a pick!

  • I love me some Dean!

  • A man into his music for sure. Inspiring to watch and listen...

  • I play myself and Dean Magraw is someone to be admired for his obvious talent. This is the very first song i heard from Dean and it inspired me to open my mind to new techniques and genres . Great song, thanks Dean

  • his eyes shut? any decent guitarist has this skill inherently

  • Hindu gods on his Tshirt. I see shiva on the front and Hanuman on the arm sleeve. How cool... just like his music :-)

  • This is why Firefox is my favourite browser.

  • @Th3D4v1d Kilnamona is mine

  • Candy Rat is an organization for guitarists who want to write music for commercials. Very talented though, amazing technique.

  • @koriepfrank Commercials? I don't know about that. Maybe some of these guys have music used in commercials. But this is irrelevant to the fact that they have signed some amazing artists; Dean Magraw not least among them.

  • my brother-in-law used this song in his weeding

  • i tried to do the same... sounds like i squeeze my cat with a brush... sigh!

  • its amazing how he does all of that with his eyes shut

  • I think I like this guy's shirt as much as I like his music.

  • serj tankian?

  • Sounds like a rip from a dashboard song

  • i usually hate when a song gets stuck in my head, but i really like keeping this one playing all day.

  • with a pick?? really??

  • there's something very happy about this song.. probably very Irish ..

  • The intro sounds soooo ACDC!

  • did anybody happen to catch the count of how many times he strummed?

  • do need a mustache to play it???

  • @MegaGlister

    Yes.

  • @MegaGlister Yes.

  • @MegaGlister Yes.

  • this song's hot. keep it up!

  • is it in standard tuning? i cant tell.

  • @kearnsification nope, it's drop-d tuning

  • i heard this guy is having some serious health problems. i really hope he gets well, because he would be a serious loss to the music world.

  • @Derricisgreat I think you're right, some sort of cancer. But I'm pretty sure he just put out a new album as well. And he has 2011 gig dates posted, so thats good news.

  • nice t-shit

  • Dean is a musician's musician. He can play all genres of music extremely well yet keep it uniquely Dean. That creative and passionate wellspring that he draws from is something the rest of us only hope to visit on that occasional good day. Dean lives there. Keep fighting the good fight old friend.

  • his power lies within his mustache.......and his shirt

  • i keep coming back to these songs, it may not be the flashiest or exciteing songs but the sound is so rich like notes u cant even hear thats how smooth this is

  • You're very very talented :D

  • If this is Drop D...then at the beginning he must be lightly muteing the strings whilst playing right? It makes sense to me, even when he plays I can recognise some of the chords you can use in Drop D. If I had the time I would love to figure this song, just to play it for fun. First time I have heard of this guy, he is pretty good, but the song did go a bit weird sometimes.

  • 40 stupid people with no musical taste. 40 Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga fans. 40 People qho deserve to die. (Okay maybe that was a little intense xD)

  • I think this is the best song I've ever heard in my life.

  • Há tempos nao ouvia uma musica tao boa, e um violao tao TESÂO

  • This reminds me of Harry Potter 5 when Fred and George fly around the Lunch Hall Lighting off all of their firework things everywhere. I swear it sounds exactly like it.

  • thats a bad ass shirt

  • @hairinthesoap

    Hell yeah it is...

  • Well done Dean.

  • wow :O

    really awesome

it's like playing the piano with a guitar:

playing the bass line/chords and upper melodie together! :D

  • eat your hearts out spanish peacocks.THIS is how a guitar is played :-)

  • That sounds fantastic!!!!! love it

  • I write to this song sir

  • candy rat is sooo awesome!

  • my favorite guitarist, dean puts me into a calm trance

  • This song is exceptional and so is the sound of the guitar so much sustain and richness!

  • dean! what happened to your beautiful rendition of coltrane's after the rain????????? no!

  • He closes his eyes during the whole song. Or he's blind. Either way I jizzed when I listened to this

  • those 38 people who disliked this movie need to die in a fire.

  • An interesting strumming style... Very wrist movey. Hehe.

  • He plays chords that shouldnt be played for the human ear. He is an unreal guitarist that no matter what positive comment you can think of for this guy, it'll just be a mere understandment.

  • Awesome, absolutely uplifting! Love it!

  • Inspiration from Indian culture eh?

Funny how you Americans love to wear our Gods on your clothes, but you'll NEVER find Jesus, or any other religious form on any clothing...

Not to be discriminatory or anything, but just pointing out that sometimes you must embrace other cultures, and you may even find appealing things uncommon in other cultures, that'll help you in life.

For the artist here, LOVE your work!

    Keep it up, dude!

    ~ Peace

  • wow

  • Freaking amazing!

  • no man should be able to do this with a pick>

  • I knew his family a few years back and have the pleasure of hanging out with him for over a week on a small island in Washington state. This guy is amazing and a wonderful person. I would absolutely encourage anyone to buy his stuff to support him in fight his against his ailments. It would be an incredible loss of a great person and a unique musician.u

  • I would include Eric Mongrain in with these artists. Check him out if you haven't already.

  • dude thats a badass shirt where did u get it

  • Dean has been ill off and on for a few years now and now also recovering from a recent bone marrow transplant so send him some good vibes.

  • loving the style!!!

  • his picking technique is fucking amazing!!!he's not even trying!!

  • I didn't know De Niro could play guitar!

  • @TJoel15 I didn't know deniro lost weight..............

  • dig the shirt brah

  • I need to smoke pot with this guy...

  • @DryRaven you mean drop acid?

  • @DryRaven dude yess lol

  • @DryRaven

Unlike you, he actually has a life.

  • @Mrhapperz Dude, come on man, if he likes doin that, why do you care dude? I mean, he's not forcing oyu to, and who says it automatically makes him have no life? Come on man, everyone makes their own choices

  • @DryRaven pretty much guarantee you that this guy's not smokin pot. That comes from hard work and dedication

  • @AustinHammy32 well this guy may or may not smoked pot at any point in his life i dont know (i doubt very much that you do either). But regardless, that doesnt mean that someone who does smoke cant dedicate themselves or put work into something that they consider to be worth while. Whether that be an instrument, or anything else

  • @AustinHammy32

u mean fucking tha sH1t outta weed every single day : D

FYI : i luv this guy

he and Andy Mckee r tha Sh1t of candy rat

  • YES!

  • This guy is amazing.

  • powerful

  • wow this acoustic guitar has a deep powerful GREAT sound! what model is it?

  • Goodall OOO parlor guitar

  • @RicardoBatistaPassos That sound has nothing to do with the guitar. It's the power of Shiva behind the guitar that gives the sound!

  • @RicardoBatistaPassos

More likey the result of a decent compressor mic..

  • @RicardoBatistaPassos Martin OO16

  • @RicardoBatistaPassos Martin 0016

  • dude. this is so good!!!

  • you are wonderfull!

  • WOW

  • Firefox :D

  • Look at that dancing hand. Man, this tune is EPIC!

  • This man makes his music flow so well. And his shirt has magic powers

  • yes yes it does maybe that's the source of his strength his shirt?

  • I have the tabs but wont be giving them away. These guys deserve every cent they can get, so go buy them for $14.95 from candyrat. Youll get a couple of other songs and the mp3s as well. For the record it is a drop D tuning

  • Why would allowing people to learn the songs lose the artists money? If anything it makes them more accessible/related and generate money.

  • if they wrote the song, they are entitled to make some money from it. If they were earning millions like some of the talentless wankers in the pop charts I wouldn't care, but these guys with extraordinary talent don't get the recognition or earning they deserve

  • Just the one D or both ?

  • Looks like just the 6th string

  • yep 6th only

    cheers

  • Thanks. Great player. I play in this tuning a lot and he has given me so much inspiration.. Cheers

  • I must admit, I haven't tried it yet but will do this weekend. I love most of Deans work

  • I use this tuning and both Es down to D, also open G tuning, open E occasionally and open G minor which is beautiful. Are you in Australia ?

  • @ozguitarist1 nice way to spam dude.

  • @ozguitarist1 for 14.95, do yu get the tabs of all their songs?

  • @ozguitarist1 More like a drop dead tuning^^

  • @ozguitarist1 you know I also payed for Andy mckee's tab x)

  • if ANYONE EVER gets tabs to this please let me know. i just learned drifting by andy mckee and this is my next one to learn. amazing!!

  • yeah Im in Sydney and you?

  • This is the first time I'm listening to him. I was watching Andy Mckee's video and then discovered this truly talented musician. It might look playing this is easy but it takes a GENIUS to compose one. I know this because I play the guitar myself

If you liked this then you will also like Tommy Emmanuel, Preston Reed and the song Ocean by John Butler Trio. I'm not comparing anyone of them. Each of them is brilliant in different ways.

Dean Magraw now you have a fan from Bangladesh. :)

  • Wow I love the tone like a saxophone that you constantly draw out of the guitar, beautiful song!

  • ace

  • T-BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Youre Superb!!!!
