some idiots here. one he is a top 20 WR recruit in the entire country. two big guys always look a bit slower.. take TP for example..difference is they chunk off 5 yards a freakin step. and third Duron brings every intangible possible. probobly the best 'intangibles' receiver available... big frame great blocker well coached pedigree coachable awesome hands body position etc etc two OSU WR recruits..Duron and Chris Fields..could be the two most underrated recruits in the country.

First off, theres always a lot of 4 and 5 (out of 5) star guys from Maryland going to the better college football programs (Penn State, Florida, Ohio State, West Virginia, etc). Alec Lemon is a 2 star, so your theory about him being one of the best players in the state is obviously wrong. Duron Carter is 4 star & was the best player on the #1 high school team in the country, so its not even a comparison.
Well Duron Carter was just praised as one of the most impressive receivers in the Florida All Star game and the All American game. Duron isnt that fast but neither was his dad who ended up being one of the best receivers in NFL history. He has soft hands, can run good routes and can catch difficult passes. He still can make defenders miss and break tackles in the open field despite not being a speed guy. And he could always work with a speed coach in college-its worked for other guys.
Carter is a great player but I think Dwayne Difton #1 on STA is just as good and faster. He's the one who caught that 90 yard pass against Elder. I can't find any clip of it but he's a 4 star receiver.
Where's the one-handed grab and the other block where he completely flattened the guy? Duron Carter is going to be sick. The 2009 recruiting class for Ohio State is ridiculous already.
Well Duron Carter is only a 3 star recruit. He is barely ranked in the top 100 players in the state of Florida, let alone the whole country. But Robiskie and Hartline were 3 star recruits too, so if Carter can be at least as good as them, I guess that would be okay.
He just recently became a 4-star cause he torn it up during the Under Armour Games. He was listed as a 3-star when the original comment was made, mainly cause they focused more on his "lack" of speed and instead of his amazing hands and route-running. In OSU's 2009 class, Duron Carter's probably my favorite recruit and will probably be used the most of all the offensive freshmen coming in.
I dont know about him being used the most. If Wells came back, I would totally agree with you but I think Jamaal Berry is better than Herron so he might be used a bit too. But either Berry or Duron Carter is going to be the true freshman with the most impact next year. But even there, I would have to give the slight edge to Carter.
you never know. we already have a lot of WRs on the team. and even with tressel starting pryor last year---im not totally convinced that tressel has changed his tendency to start upperclassmen (even if the freshman are better).
