glad to hear this noble animal is back in the wild...I used to like zoo's but now I just don't agree with the whole premise. Rehabilitating animals and protecting species is one thing but having animals caged up for the viewing pleasure of another species is wrong.

This was not a zoo. This was an animal in South Africa. Almost all of the animals I saw and photographed in South Africa were in the wild.

This particular animal was in a rehabilitative center due to illness. He is wild and will be returned to the bush when well.

The problem is that some species are so endangered now that the only way for them not to diseapear is to keep some in safety before trying to reintroduce them (if some morronic hunter or farmer don't kill them again btw). That means we must protect them in zoo...
