  • thank you mary. I love you and always will. wish I have that sunday brunch with you.. very sorry now

  • Nobody EVER messed with Mary. They just tiptoed around this Force of Nature.

  • What a wonderful woman. God bless you, Mary. Thank you for the music.

  • I was in love with Mary when i was thirteen, PP&M's music stirred my soul. Thank you.

  • perfect choice of song, powerful images, can I echo those sentiments

  • Peter, Paul and Mary (as individuals, and as a trio) were/are beautiful both inside and out.

  • Such a beautiful woman

  • Her voice is silenced in part bbut we still have her with us as we all have memories and recordings. Long Live Mary, her job on this mortal coil is done now she sings to the heavens.....

  • Love you <3

  • when i saw this........i almost cried

  • I don't think it was a weird choice. It was sentimental and sweet. it's a song about mourning the loss of a friend. i think when we follow an artist for a long time they seem like friends to us and we miss them when they're gone, not just for their music but for themselves.

  • You must have loved Mary as much as I ! ! Thanks for your sucessful and memorable vid . . .

  • Thank you! Mary was a great singer and person.

  • @HandaCarr Thanks for this wonderful video. It's funny but whenever I hear Puff the Magic Dragon or Follow Me or any of the other Peter, Paul, and Mary tunes I travel back in time to those days......I can litterally feel and taste those times and a calm feling envelops me. Thanks Mary (and Peter and Paul to!).........

  • you cared, you always cared,

  • Thank you

  • Only, Dylan didn't write this song. God knows, he wrote tons and tons of great ones. This one is a traditional folk song.

  • I know he didn't write it. But this is his version of it, hence "Bob Dylan's 'He Was a Friend of Mine"'

  • gotcha

  • @unclebobunclebob - It's only "traditional" if you only go back to Greenwich Village in the early sixties, when Van Ronk and Dylan and a couple of others collaborated to produce this song. The only "traditional" antecedent it has is Shorty George, a whole different animal. Van Ronk is credited as often as Dylan, and the most authoritative version is by the Greenbriar Boys with Dian sitting in.

  • excellent choice of song.Great work and tribute for a wonderful artist who impacted many lives...

  • Thank you!

  • You've chosen some nice photos, both from when she was young and more recent. It's a nice little tribute.

  • Thanks!

  • Nice collage and sweet song selection.

    thanks

  • Thank you
