Then again, you'd be pretty confident too if you could take on Iori in freakin' blood riot mode and get away with the same thing you did with Chizuru. ...Actually, I wonder how they changed his special now that he has Iori's power. You should have seen the look on me and my friend's faces when we realized what his leader special could do to the opponent in XI. We weren't sure whether to feel insulted for Chizuru's sake or awed.

Yeah, I was upset too because Chizuru can't fight anymore. This jackass comes outta nowhere and takes her powers. Then in XI I'm like "Holy crap" the story actually relates to the gameplay. Ash getting that Germinal move is really cool. SNK got it right though. I like rooting for the "good guy" even if he's taking my favorite characters powers. The only other fighting game where their moves/appearance change according the story is the Soul Calibur series.

Of course, can't forget SC. :D See, and that's why I love King of Fighters so much. Plot-driven fighting is what makes me fall in love with the whole scheme of things, the reason why we take up a character and say " what drives him/her? " I love it. Hell, even Last Blade did it. At the end, Kaede awakened the Seiryu within after his fight with Kagami, and then In the sequel he comes back an entirely new man, new appearance, moves, whatnot...it was awesome! Hell, Guilty Gear, even. Blazblue!

Ah that's right. I forgot about Last Blade. lol I love the progression with Zato/Eddie in Guilty Gear. I didn't get to play much of Blazblue in the arcade but I heard the console version has a ton of story. I just hope it's as involving as Guilty Gear.

Yeah Zato/Eddie was saaad, man, but they did do alot of work on the storyline for that...until they just forgot about most characters in Overture. And that made me sad, sir. : (

But yeah, Blazblue has a great story from what I hear, I have the game myself but am touring through Arcade mode before I go about fighting through Story. If it's anything like X2 I'm more than likely going to need a map for that, in all honesty.

Well actually I heard that by the time Overture was about to come out, Sega already had most of the rights to the GG franchise anyway. Sega owning GG is also why Aksys went on to make BlazBlue. Sega has no control over that. I don't know the details but it's a pretty bad situation for them.

Ash is very popular in Japan. if you go to the Japanese Kof XII official website : kofaniv snkplaymore, at the main page you have a picture with Ash in front of all the character (including Kyo & Iori who are behind him) even on the jacket of the game Ash take all the place. Love him or Hate him , but The Ash mania is not going to stop ^^

Well Ash IS the main character right now, not Kyo. So it's part of the reason why he's so popular. The other reason why Ash is so popular is that Japan like their effeminate characters. In KOF alone there is Ash, Shion, and Benimaru. It's just the thing to do in Japan. America not so much. The U.S can have Ralph and Clark. I like to play as Ash and Kensou.
