Even though it was a good win, Federer won't feel totally satisfied until he defeats Nadal at a 100 percent. Many people were surprised that Nadal played this tournament because of so many matches played. He was obviously weary at the end and Federer was knocked out early in the previous tournament. Nadal struggled in the earlier round against Lleyton Hewitt.

federer struggled against monaco, ferrer and moya... and still he pushed through and won the tournament, that's why he is the best!!!

Nadal had a difficult match against Novac and still won the match - to follow with a great victory against Federer to win the Hamburg tournament (the only one Rafa did not have yet in his collection!!) :-)

nadal looked fine, it was federer who was shaky to start. fed raised his level and nadal couldn't this time around. he's played fatigued (as has federer) and still won many matches, i dont know if nadal would use that excuse. also at the famous pt at 3-0 in the third nadal looks like he's moving as fast as ever.

Another good match to copare against this one is Dubai 2007, on hard-court, won by Nadal. An excellent example!
