On my Nokia 5630 the navigation on this windows it's faster. Also, my phone has a 600MHz processor.

I do hope some intelligent programmer optimizes the DOSBox emulator and creates a slimmed down version of maybe Win98 so that it can be run smoothly. Until then, I am afraid it is nothing more then proof of concept. To make it usable and practical, it must be optimized.

I do'nt think it works. And I think that it is faked! If it is not faked, then proves it! On the other hand, was my favorite operating system, Windows 98 Would be really interesting to try it (^-_^!)

So many people say that it is not, unfortunately, works on the phone alone because a PC and a mobile phone different. And operating systems are different.

N95 has ARM cpu, windows is designed for X86...

That is why it's slow, but maybe there is a way to speed things up somehow.

actually its not custom firmware, you can install an app called dosbox, and run these kind of things! (offcourse windows needs an additional bunch of apps)

There are some videos of cs on a mobile but they are fake or some mobile version which takes 0,6mb.

Not sure about the ram of n95(128 MB,95 available for n95 8gb)

Cpu is Dual 332 MHz.

Cs` minimum written on the box is 96 ram and 500mhz but maybe it will run :D

But still probably a few years until people can play cs 1.6 on their phones :D

It's slow, because Symbian works in the background and takes a lot from RAM and CPU. I've launched WINDOWS 95 ON MY N95 8GB!!! :D

I think it's real. Windows 98 runs in any DosBox environment, and DosBox has been ported to Symbian. So Windows 95 => DosBox => Nokia N95
