I have seen this episode. They only made a system that can only absorb the earthquake in 2 directions (forward and back), and I'm wondering what if the earthquake zone is shaking in "other directions" or up and down? I don't know if their system would apply to those different earthquake situations.

If you ask me, I'd rather go for the Japanese pagoda system which involves one long thick flexible column inside the middle of the building to support the entire structure during an earthquake.

thats not the point. they built 2 identical houses and 1 without proofing falls down. the ones with live. if you dont like it dont wactch
