  • Lol. I just watched Greg's new video mocking me and Juzo on his KoreanNionjutsu channel. He shows the two Yumi again. but again, not up close to show that they are actually PVC. And then shows this, what is supposed to be a Yumi. Greg, you never fail to amaze me. All you did there is heat bend a strip of bamboo. That is not a traditional Yumi. A traditional Yumi has 6 small vertical lams of bamboo and hardwood on the outsides as the core, sandwiched between two raw bamboo strips. Not just one!

  • the mughal bows were much more higher quality

  • @malevolenceXXXensues All cultures had there unique style of bow. all having their good and bad qualities. I am certainly not trying to state in this video that there is anything wrong with the Korean Gung. I was merely showing that the Gung is much different than the bows that Greg was showcasing!

  • Since when was Choson Ninja an archery expert??? Some of the stuff I do like, but the rest of it is just crap.

  • @z3160200 Well actually, truth be known, Greg actually started out on Youtube doing videos on Archery. This was long before all the black do-gi and heavy into the Ninja theme. This would have been in around 2004 to 2006 I think. Anyway, he must have taken that old account down when he went all Ninja. He was doing the videos wearing a white TKD Dobok and shooting in some sort of indoor studio at the time.

  • He never made this videos for people like you. Now you got your answer. Greg is a wounderfull person, and when people cant be great as he is, they intend to atack him, Its hard finding a master with all his skills and knowlege. One should respect what he does for free, people tend to make alot of mony, but he does it for free, for stupid idiots basterd like you who dont show any respect or grattitude for it. Dont komplain of what he has not done, be thankfoll for what he has done for us.

  • @shiifu If Greg never made these videos for people like me, then why is it that he mentions us in every video? If he was as humble and Godly as he claims to be, he would simply ignore us and move on. The fact that he gives us so much credence is proof of the fact that we are right and he is trying desperately to hide that fact. Also. A truly humble person would never call themselves humble. A truly humble person would just be humble, and would not have to try to convince others of that fact!

  • On the contrary, the arguement is based on the legitimacy on his claim to korean ninjutsu and his view of its history. He was disproven years ago about how he got it and his claim that it was taught to japan. His ability in the martial arts is not in question unless it concerns the topic. Also ,he has reason to lie. To try to get people on his side. Because there is superiority in numbers. Thats how you make a lie, truth. I do agree with you that it does depend on the individual.

  • Are you going to take this video down since Master Park showed everyone that his bow was made from wood, wraped with black tape? It is wraped for a reason. Us (we) military folk wrap our stuff with black tape, especially small metal clips. Do you know why we do it?

  • @megaohmz Uh. No. The bows that I was first and foremost accusing him of making out of PVC Pipe were those two so called Yumi. Since he has not proven those to not be made of PVC, the video stays up!

  • @megaohmz what do u mean by clips?

  • @megaohmz Besides which. Greg has never taken any of his videos down, even when he was proven wrong, so why should I have to?

  • @megaohmz The Reason-Military wrap tape around metal clips or fasteners is To silence them,Camo.or to keep the clasps from coming loose. In Gregs case its to hide the white of the pvc from his viewers on his 2 bows he used at the beginning of the video.

  • @Kungfumastertraining I know. I don't practice Kyudo because I've never been taught, but even I could tell from what little I have gleaned from watching it being performed in videos, that Greg was doing it completely wrong. There was no discipline exhibited in his form whatsoever. Kyudo is like a form of meditation. It is an art form, not merely an action. It takes years to master!

  • I notice he also did a jig around the topic of those Nintaijutsu bow tutorials that he was supposed to put up and never did! C'mon Greg. What's your excuse there!

  • Hahaha. I think ChosenNinny is the one who is jumping when you say jump! Lol. Looks like you really pissed him off! Those bows of his are pieces of crap. It looks like something he picked up for $10 at a pawn shop!

  • I encourage everyone to go and check out Greg's response video on this matter. It's being featured on his ChosonRSP account. You notice that he shows all of his bastardized bows except those two Yumi that I was clearly saying were made of PVC Pipe.

  • excellent vid. You proven that you can expose choson at about any vid he comes to make if you want too.

  • @TheRichsalley Traditional archery has always been a passion of mine, so when people like Greg make a mockery of it, I tend to take exception!

  • well the horseback archers look a lot like copying it from mongolian archers

  • @Cheerok Probably. I think Korea was invaded regularly by the Mongols, so that would make sense. The Mongol and Korean bows are very similar design as well. More similar to the Mongol bow than the Japanese Yumi. I don't think that the Yumi is really similar to any other bow ever used in the world. It is a very unique design!

  • @ExposeChosunNinja Yeah of course its very unique. I think it is one of the few effects of japanese being a mostly isolated island and therefore it wasnt influenced in its early stages. But that in turn means for korea that it has been influenced by dozens of other nations and mostly those who crossed their lands and/or invaded/took over control. Still refuse that there isnt any traditional art still alive but i kind of hate that they copy/adapt some arts and call it their own that just sucks.

  • @Cheerok of japan being*

  • I wonder how effective Greg bow is but i bet it suck just by looking at it.

  • i was taught by my grandfather (a half blood cherokee) that we should shoot with the bows positioned horizontal (to keep the bow from snagging) and its also noted that some english arches would position their warbows side ways when shooting from saddle

  • @hellwolf882 The point here was not to say that some archers don't do it that way. My point was that he was making it sound as though that is how Koreans do it, and that is simply not the case. I have watched many videos on the topic of Korean archery, and have never once seen a Korean archer shoot their bow that way.

  • @hellwolf882 Greg also uses the two finger release which is a European style release. Korean archers use the thumb release with a horn ring on the thumb. My point is, that if Greg knows anything at all about Korean archery, he isn't showing it!

  • @hellwolf882 I would ask that you pm me a reference to English archers shooting their bows this way on horseback. It has always been my understanding that the English Archers were foot soldiers because their bows were too long and cumbersome for horseback archery. The Japanese could get away with it because the Yumi was designed with the handle closer to the bottom and the bottom limb was short. This way it would not get in the way while shooting.

  • @hellwolf882 Ok. I did find one video referencing English horseback archery, so I'll give you that one, but it did not mention anything about shooting with the bow horizontal. Have a look.

    watch?v=gcpHB-flwJQ

  • @ExposeChosunNinja a problem a longbow differs from a war bow and another fact its much easier to load while the bow is horizontal even for experienced archers lol (tho not by much) but i also say that the yumi might possibly be bamboo and just wrapped i wrap nunchaku bo staffs eskrima and some tonfa (keeps it from splaying/cracking/getting dinged up

  • @hellwolf882 I am 100% sure that those two Yumi were made of PVC Pipe. If they weren't and Greg wanted to make me look foolish, he would have included them in his response video. The fact that he didn't tells me I was right on the money with respect to those so called Yumi. Besides, no experienced Japanese Bowyer would have made Yumi with the lower limb bent that way. That's not how they are designed! There would be no practical purpose for it to have those sharp angular bends!

  • @ExposeChosunNinja Ok i can agree with you on some points (i wont blindly belive one or the other but i guess you are right) 1.he didnt show the yumi true 2.ive seen many odd bow designs but you are right in that aspect

  • @hellwolf882 Actually, the only real difference between an English Longbow and an English Warbow, is draw weight and the fact that the Longbow has a fabric or leather wrapped grip and a strike plate, and a Warbow has no handle whatsoever. Apart from that, the basic construct of the two types of bow are exactly the same.

  • @ExposeChosunNinja an english war bow was much thicker and was shapped different (they had to get as many bows out of one "log" as possible) (unless im rembering a different culture Lol) so that the bows were D shaped (the wood itself) and if i rember the shape helped get more draw weight as well as allow for more bows to be cut and long bows tend to be more oval

  • @hellwolf882 From my understanding of the English Longbow and Warbows, it really depended on the Bowyer whether the bow was an oval profile or D profile. Mine is a D profile. Agreeably the Warbow was thicker due to the need for higher draw weight, but traditionally the Warbow and the Longbow were both made of either Yew or in the later part of the war against the French when they began running out of Yew supply, they were made of Ash. The design however was pretty much the same!

  • @hellwolf882 I think also that I read somewhere that the Oval bows that were recovered from the Mary Rose may have been made from Yew branches, or narrower younger Yew trees. This would account for the less flat and more rounded profile of the back of the bow. The diameter of the log that was split would directly affect the profile of the back of the bow.

  • What's the point? Stop hating on Greg.

  • @upabittoolate I'm Not hating on him. Just exposing his lies. What would you have me do, just turn the other cheek and ignore the fact that he is deceiving people? My entire adult life has been dedicated to fighting crime. Turning the other cheek is not in my nature. Live with it!

  • @ExposeChosunNinja In what way are you exposing him?

  • @upabittoolate (Shakes head). If you don't get it, I'm not going to waste my time trying to make you get it. Watch his videos if you want. Believe him if you want. I don't care!

  • @ExposeChosunNinja Evidently you don't get it. Unless the "tradition" was passed down to you (if it was, you couldn't share the secrets ANYWAY), you can't pontificate about what's authentic & what ain't. You guys fail online.

  • @upabittoolate Pretty much all of the Korean archery traditions are consistent in the style of bow, how do draw the bow, and how to aim and shoot the bow. The same can be said for Japanese archery. Kyudo is a representation of how it was done in wartime Japan. Even the bows that were used by the Ninja in Japan emulated the Yumi, except they were much shorter. What are the chances that one group of Korean Ninja did things so different than the rest of Korea?

  • @upabittoolate If choson had something passed down he would have some evidence that would be supported by some sort of documentation related to his claims.

  • @TheRichsalley You sound like a buffoon. There's no reason to even lie about such a thing. You guys are having pissing contests about inane shit. Pathetic. Even if he WAS lying (he's not), it wouldn't even matter. It's not about the weapon or the system. It's about how the artist APPLIES the weapon or technique.

  • @upabittoolate So you are saying that anything choson says you would believe and u won't bother to research it, nor want to keep an open mind about the otherside of the arguement. Also how do u know he is not lying or giving half truths?

  • @TheRichsalley What I'm saying is that I take what I hear with a pinch of saslt. Why? Because I'm an ADULT. As for research in an effort to "expose" Greg, that's an exercise stupidity. The other side of argument doesn't really impress me because, as I stated before, what's paramount isn't the weapon or technique. What's paramount is how effective & accomplished the artist is. How do I know he's not lying? Becasue he has not reason to lie. Your entire argument is predicated on inane bullshit.

  • @upabittoolate What you are saying is that you are stupid. Read your comment idot. You wont see it because your are a dolt.

    IDIOT!!!
