Well it's kinda complicated. But basically I took a trip when i was 13 while taking Japanese class and knew I had to study again in the future!

sorry i didn't answer your other questions. Only English and Japanese. It took me a while. I started in middle school, but didn't study in High school or college. I learned when i got out of college about 3-4 years ago. The best advice i could give you...learn from Japanese people while studying.
