That is not true. It took Siams hundreds of years of embedding in the Khmer society to take down the Khmer empire. Ramkhamheng learned Sangskhrit and Khmer from Khmer preist. Later, he invented Siamese scripts base on Khmer letters. Thai numbers are exactly like Khmer's. Recently they found khmer writing in the oldest temple in Ayudhya. There are many artifacts and temple ruines and decentants of Khmer people in Thailand. Esan provinces such as Surin, Sesiket and Buriam still speak khmer.

Thailand lost more. Khmers don't export much to Thailand but we import everything, food , construction materials, clothes, etc.. There are 11 million Khmers and we don't produce anything because of decades of war. Khmer import billion of bath from Thailand. Now we can import from other countries. Look at people along the border that usually sell materials to Khmers, they are crying because they can't make any sell.

Definitely I am Khmer and 100% on my khmer side. Cambodia deserve more criticism in order for her to improve the livelihood of the people. We have no rights to talk bad about others when our similar problems is far worst than those we criticize.
