  • It is part of an artificial harbour. The allies needed harbours after the d-day landings. But since they did not capture a harbour with sufficient capacity for all the big ships. So, the British manufactured two large artificial harbours. One for the US sector and one for the British sector. This is the one for the British sector. The large objects in the sea were supposed to block waves from entering the harbour. It is all that remains of this superstructure -> info - > google ;-)

  • I probably sound stupid, but what is all that stuff...in the water and on the beach?
