  • hes in edinburgh doing fringe show love it !

  • It's amusing how the transition from card trick to stage illusion feels kinda hesitant, even though that part was probably rehearsed, whereas the jokes at the volunteer's expense feel very smooth, even though they were probably ad-libbed.

I'd kinda like to see a routine that consists almost entirely of those witty jabs.

  • I don't usually like stage illusions like this but this really is quite baffling

  • If she would have been in a Bikini with the chosen card tattooed on her tummy, that would have been a GREAT trick!

  • How did he bag her??

  • @LoLzZ85 magic

  • actually they are both just good tricks

  • Paul says what your name, the guy says mike, i was then expecting him to say "bet your surname is hunt" not a lot of people no that...

  • Just a stunning trick - as good as the 'orange tube' variation. I have no explanation. I mean, where on earth is she hiding? :)

  • Racy outfit for family viewing.

  • paul daniels did incredibly well to keep coming up with new stuff. The first couple of seasons were his working mans stuff, after that he was coming up with new stuff week on week.

  • He did something different at the time with well worn routines. Do you think we're at the stage now where it will all be re-evaluated and not be so cheesy any more? Maybe magicians will go back to this sort of stuff?

  • The biggest problem with Daniels was that his shows never evolved he stuck to the same prop based magic, people thought he was good until along came people like derren brown and suddenly daniels looked like a mad old uncle performing christmas party tricks.

  • @marshalllucky

Paul Daniels had a regular SERIES of TV shows from 1979 through to 1994. How many shows has Darren Brown made?

He didn't only stick to prop magic - he also did sleight of hand routines. The problem is that 'table magic' does not come over well on TV.

People didn't think he was good - Daniels WAS good - he learnt his trade the hard way in Working Men's Clubs around the country.

Paul Daniels will always be remembered long after Darren Brown has been forgotten about!

  • @EssexBoy696969 Paul Daniels was good at what he did, but even at the time there where dozens more who where bigger and better than him. Derren was a pioneer who took his craft to new ground and There still is now (almost 10 years after he first Appeared) no one who even comes close to what he has done.

  • when i was a boy i was really into magic and Paul Daniels was the only magician on TV. I used to love watching his tricks but even then, when i was 8 or 9 years old, there was a part of me that knew he was a prize bell end.

  • My, what a patronising, balding short-arsed little twat.

But he is sure is "magic!"

PS Anyone where he gets his toupees from and what he's doing now...?

  • @hyena131

    What's he doing now?

The (to term your phrase) patronising, balding, short-arsed little twat is living a life of luxury as a multi-millionaire in a mansion in Buckinghamshire.

His interest at the bank probably makes more in a Week than what you earn in a Year.

  • watch my clip and plese send your comments. master pritam

  • Haha, "camera trick" thats a lame excuse man.

  • dude add me as a freind please i want to ask you somthing

  • when he leads the guy away from the table, do you really think his main thought is that the audience member is getting between him and the audience - NO - I don't need to say any more

  • i liked it...not a lot,but i liked it!!

  • Damn I miss Paul Daniels (and magic). It's defintely a dying art.

  • Award for most bizarre convulted explanation goes to 1415w.

    But you're wrong.

  • Audio is out of sync

  • You only need to see!

  • How the hell did he do that?!

  • Marry Debbie McGee you mean? The nation is still trying to work that one out

  • Err...don';t you mean that the other way round?! Or perhaps Mr Merton got it right: "Debbie McGee, what first attacted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?"!

  • Its called mirrors

  • no idea!

  • Debbie McGee is both bendy and compact.
