  • Um, whats the point of this video? Creationists already know it's stupid to claim apple pie evolved. That's why they were comparing it to evolution. Aren't you just sorta doing their analogies for them?

  • @MarowakDidIt

    What does votebotted mean?

  • That was soo good!

  • Yep. It happened in June. I made a video about it.

  • :(

Now I want apple pie... a lot.

  • can i have a piece please?

  • Apple pie hunting. Fuck yeah.

  • lol Adam's Apple

  • hey man, if apple pies don't reproduce, why did the guy in American Pie fuck that apple pie then huh?

lmao j/k, yeah that bitch with the bread is so stupid, doesn't even know that bread is brought to the world by way of a magic stork ;D

  • Oh, I didn't notice before. Your using Adam's Apple as the earliest form of apple made me laugh my face off.

  • Heh heh, I was really proud when I thought of that one.

  • If the taxonomic species name of the apple pie is pastrius, what do we call apple crumble and baked apples? :P

    Yeah, it's me. 'Sup?

  • Oh, and yes, baked apples can count as a pastry when they're breaded.

  • Never had one like that!

  • Hello, thanks for your comment, but you forgot to subscribe too. :)

I have no idea what I could have called the species name for other desserts. I could have expanded this video in a lot of areas, but I felt I picked the best parts.

  • Oh, man, the funniest thing just befell me. I hit the subscribe button and Firefox crashed.

Well, I'm subscribed now. Go make videos so I can get bothered by their presence now.

  • You know her video of dawkins stumped actually includes his response. Perfect example of self ownage.

  • Now I am in the mood for pie...

    Apple pie...

Well done, I watched the vid you are commenting on and I must say, well done. I almost raged my way through its comments, but I think there's no need, your talk of pie has soothed me.

  • That woman sure is silly. I wonder how many people watched this and then had pie?

  • I did, I keep pies in the freezer for just such an occasion (seriously)

  • "Modern apple pies have been selectively bred to be even sweeter"

I lol'd. This video is brilliant.

  • Thanks. You know, believe it or not I based this on some facts about apple pie. A couple hundred years ago, sugar was a luxury so apple pies where made without it. So modern pies are indeed sweeter!

  • dude that apple pie through an evolutionary gaze is gold

    you're really smart

ps extra brownie points for mentioning degrees celsius

  • Thanks. I felt I should add a Celsius conversion was appropriate do to the amount of European subscribers.

  • Well done JR Chadwick. I just cant believe how ignorant so many people are about one of the most basic subjects in Middleschool Biology. Whats more astounding is that sooo many of these people are on youtube flaunting their ignorance, and by definition are completely unaware of how stupid they make themselves seem. I wish I was better at making videos because I would love to attack this subject. Keep em comming my friend!

  • I don't even like pie or apples why oh why am i wanting to see that recipe

  • I like to go apple pie hunting.

I use a pie trap, designed by myself.

However you must beware, some wild apples are sharp. Some people like to use a Pie gun- it evolved from the elephant gun that some African elephants give birth to.

  • I've been on many a Pie hunt, and only once (in Zimbabwe) did we actually manage to catch one. We trapped it, but the damn thing broke loose using its fierce teeth.

  • You should use a pie tranquilizer (AKA custard).

It stops them dead in their tracks.

  • I'd love to have a cow that gave birth to hamburgers.

  • i love the last line ....evolve my own apple pie----naw i just like to hunt and eat them

  • oh, and funny vid JRC!

  • I just love the way Ray complicates the word "painter": Painteuur

Maybe it's because of his NZ heritage?

  • lmfao... "adams apple" at the top.

  • Great job, JR. Its interesting that she says her bread theory is as stupid as the theory of evolution. If thats the case, why didnt she just make a video about the theory of evolution? Presumably because once you start looking at inheritance, variation and natural selection, the theory of evolution doesnt look quite so stupid.

  • Thanks, Potholer54debunks! This woman obviously has never even attempted to look at evolution. "Microorganisms came together..." What the hell??

  • over the process if bilons? She wrote bilons? She can't even spell. Then she compares living self replicating things to mechanics?

She is one of those characters in the movie "Idiocracy" and lives on flavored drinks because it gives you electrolytes.

  • She wrote, "billons". I noted it in an annotation. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • All this bred and pie talk is erelavent. evolusion is still a lie because somone told me so 1 time and thay sounded convencing so i beleve it!

  • Has anyone pointed out to her that wheat DIDN'T evolve naturally, but is a process of centuries of ARTIFICIAL selection by humans?

  • You're such an idiot JRC.

Don't you know that bread used to roam the Great Plains of North America hundreds of years ago!? They were truely a majestic herd. It's a shame you're so ignorant, and this video only further solidifies my statement.

  • teehee =]

  • JRCHADWICK... I can honestly say I laughed my ass off with the end of the video. SO well done sir!

  • "Adam's Apple"

    ROTFL!!!!!

  • Original skin!

    LMFAO

  • Very amusing. I take my hat off to you sir, a video both funny and intellectual. Hooray for self replicating entities!

  • Oooooo! Maybe advanced artificial selection could lead to a cow giving birth to a burger! YUMMY! LOL! Kidding. But, what would that do for future generations? o_O

  • good video! imformative and funny at the same time. also how did apple pie become so associated with america? its like the most traditional british dish ever!!

  • Sometimes apple pies are selected for cheapness (such as McDonald's apple pies).

  • "you must repent or you will perish! "

Nope, Jesus already paid my fine.

  • @SAsgarters: You sir, are an internet hero

@VUTRUDOIN: All I gotta do is say "God, will you forgive me?" and I get into heaven. :P

  • "@SAsgarters: You sir, are an internet hero"

    Not quite following you here.

  • *Sigh*

I am referring to your comment about Jesus, and the hilarity that it ensues in the face of the present topic and in response to the previous post.

It was funny and poked fun at Christian beliefs, I assumed you were making it in a sarcastic tone.

  • My apologies, the post in question does not seem to appear when I view all comments. But it was indeed intende to be sarcastic.

  • great video, very clever and funny at the same time.

  • I was thinking that the creationists will cut and paste your video. Hell, if they believed the first video about bread, they'll believe this video about apple pie for the same reasons!

What about a video showing how a volcano is 100% scientific proof of a volcanist, and that plate tectonics is total bullshit?

  • mmm apple pie tree..

  • Oh you forgot the Pink Lady, which is the most delicious apple I have ever experienced.

  • Its ironic that they keep going on about wheat which is such a clear cut example of evolution

  • Actually, wheat is an example of artificial breeding. It was one of the first organisms to be selectively bred by humans.

  • One could argue that selective breeding by humans doesn't really differ from any other kind of selection. The details of the process do differ, but in the end, they benefit from being desirable to grow in the same sense as another plant might benefit from attracting pollinators.

  • Which is precisely my point. Through the rules of evolution humans manipulated the genetic outcome of a plant and caused it to speciate. It's driven evolution

  • I thought an evolution of the food called apple pie would have been better. What pies came before apple, cherry or meat. What before that flaky bread with seasonings. What before that breads cut and covered in various foods.

Do you get what I'm saying? liked your video and i think you got the idea that making bread is not the same as the evolution of bread. I just think a better example could be made to simplify things. like the evolution of breads and all the dif breads which exist.

  • I thought about going farther with this, but I ended up cutting parts out because I thought it was boring. There are a lot of ways I could have expanded, but I felt to much detail would have spoiled the joke.

  • Haha Domestic breeds! Our's is Dr. Oetker :P, btw not in any way related to the domesticated Pizza!

  • oh please, we've had the brick factory already! What's the next strawman? The Chupachup factory? blah blah blah scientists belive blah blah blah formed a Chupachup lollipop blah blah blah aren't they stupid for believing such nonsense.

Hang on if this prophecy comes true then I am the new Messiah!

  • and yeah you indeed made the same point a little later on (lol the designer analogy ticks me of so bad that I can't even wait to respond) guess you'd be the new messiah :P Oh well....

  • Heard from a creationist - "Honey! I'm taking my M16 and go shoot us an apple pie for dinner Maybe I can bag myself a hot dog to, but they runs so fast. Later."

  • LMAO wild apple pie hunting :)))

  • Adams apple!

    now I must lulz

  • Very similar to VFX's "evolution of utensils" argument. Take similar non-living, non-self-replicating items (forks and spoons or wheat, dough and bread), and claim that evolutionary theory predicts these non-reproducing items most have evolved from one another. Then ridicule the fictional position you have created for your opponent.

  • Correction: Wheat is living and can replicate. Although dough contains yeast, the dough itself is non-living and cannot replicate.

  • I like it, it really helps show how clearly how ridiculous idea it really is.

  • mmm apple pie!

  • haha! "Adam's Apple" XD

  • I was so proud when I came up with that! :)

  • I would be too.

    Macintosh was good too.

  • The funniest part about the whole video is I imagine the person that made it thought they were being ground breaking and clever.
