THE BEST VERSION EVER!!!Hope this band reforms..they had so many hit songs in a row...and without doubt the best live band in aussie rock...better than chisel and all the others put together..they held the record at the San Miguel Cammeray..people way back in the toilets listening to them..and 100s inside the place.

I love the Ed Bates era, just before 'Radio' was released! Stephen offered to send me demos of the Sports in 76 and 77, but nothing came out of it. He doesn't control his myspace anymore either. Shame.

I love the Sports - I wish they could reform. I got in contact with original drummer Paul Hitchins recently... let's just say that there wont be a Sports reunion anytime soon. Shame, I would love to see them reform. I'd even put the hard work in to promote their tour!
sports absolutley nailed this cover better than anyone else (even Status Quo)...the less said about the dreaded excrutiating Paul Carrick version the better...how the hell the Carrick verison has become the standard for Oz AM radio stations when a superior local Aussie version leaves it for dead is beyond me.
