  • Hi, Great videos - what are the sticks you use to steady the rifle. I noticed hem when you were rabbiting with an air rifle.

    Joe

  • The deer must be yummy.

  • i know this is a bit off topic ,,but does anyone know a good way of cooking a 10lb sea bass ,,i can guess myself i,m looking for someone who has done it and done it properly

  • @simpleearthling

i have a video on how to do it

filleting a trout and pan fried sea bass

  • Cool vid mate, You have a flinch, just a heads up...

  • hey mark i love your vids ime a game keeper in perthshire and my missus realy likes your game cooking in the magazine. thou i wouldent cun the throat open this will sever the food pipe an could contaminate the meat if you puch the knife in to the front of the chest this will do a better job

    all the best

  • @nipplebrady1988

if you cut it at the top that is where the head comes off, very unlikely to have any food in that part? i used to stab the throat but i damaged the meat a few times and went back to the head trick

  • @markgameforeverythin no whilst thats true. it can slip down leaveing green soup every where. i knot it before take ing it out to stop that happening. but if your happy with yor way. i was just saying how i do it.... ps whats your best game meat or part of a game animal to eat?

  • @nipplebrady1988 i find if you take every thing out starting from the back end forwards you can most times have the entire insides still attached to the head then remove it last which means you never actually cut the "food pipe" and you avoid meat contamination on the haunches which have the highest meat value.

  • @DevilDeerOutdoors well that how i normaly go it "all in one" the piont i was makeing is that on dsc courses thats how its shown, its a a bloody faf any how! beasts get washed out in the larder so what does a little muck matter!

  • I really enjoy your vidios, and find them quite informitiv. but one qustion on the unting aspect are suppressors manditory in the U.K. or are they just nice to have? I have noticed tham in quite a lot of hunting vidios from the U.K.

  • @MrSeamus1964

it is not mandatory but most people have them to protect their hearing and avoid disturbing people nearby

  • Wow does that ever sound nice!!

  • What was the reason for cutting the throat after you shot it? Not an attack just curious

  • @qwer938 it helps drain the blood out of the animal, which improves the meat

  • @markgameforeverythin Even though it's dead? I thought the heart would have to be pumping or the animal would have to be hung to do that

  • @qwer938 it does, trust me

  • @markgameforeverythin - here's a novel idea. Take some rope with you and hang the deer from a hind leg for does or antler for bucks in a tree and gut it that way. It makes it easier and you don't need to bleed it out.

  • @qwer938 it drains the blood out the animal

  • Ok thank you wat do u mean about stray bullets and sorry to ask but how much did the gun set u back

  • is that a T8 silencer and what length is the barrel because that is my perfect rifle

  • i think it is a t8 but i am not sure what length the barrel is. ifyou get the same set up as me, take teb barrel out of the stock and file down the stock to the barrel knocks and you get stray bullets

  • @wholeman93

rifle around 500 scope around 600, but a good first time buyers gun in kent

  • Howa rifles are very good for the money do the job nice deer by the way!!

  • @222fox1 - Weatherby rifles use Howa actions/barrels as well. I have a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in 22-250 with a Nikon Buckmasters 4-12x scope that will shoot dime size groups at 100yds and the action is smooth as silk.

  • did u get the fox at the start of the vid btw

  • no missed it

  • Are there a wide range of suppressor options in the UK? Is it difficult for a resident to get a permit to hunt? I have this idea that it is difficult and very restrictive.

  • god that is good i just zeroed my one today and had it 1" high at 100 yds and spot on at 200 yds

  • that is the bullets dude.

  • thats true to i am shooting federal power shock 100 grain soft point

  • i am using federal and if you look on the packet they have the ballistic data on them

  • alank0040 i own a howa .243 and at 450 yds i get 3 inch groups. and i have even killed deer at this range, super flat shooting gun. i shoot 85 gr. barnes hallow point bullets

  • Well done .I just picked up my howa 243 yesterday nice gun .wat is it grouping like ?

  • i am happy with i get very good groups with it and i am no great rifle shot

  • What model of howa is it?

  • 1500 series howa

  • But what one :P...varmint, sporter?

    Whats your best group?

  • it just says 1500 series on the side. will have anoher look for any other information for you. but i am in the uk if you are in teh us then they may call it something different

  • I am U.K. also xD

  • Awesome. No suppressors here either in Michigan which sucks because my ears are really sensitive. It's such a stupid law with ridiculous reasoning.

  • very cool

only if we could use suppressors here

  • where are you?

  • @markgameforeverythin

    Australia mate

  • great vid mark well done 5*

  • Nice rifle, Good kill, hope to see more vids from you, Thanks
