  • Madness will never be yesterdays men.

  • love this song ... love this clip ....love Madness!

  • The best days of my life.....this song is the best to chill to....

  • maybe it's because i'm in me mid 40's and have these songs holding a place in my past but do you really think that crap like 'Fly like a G6' will hold up in 26 years like this and many other songs from the 80's do?

  • Carl's trousers arent' as bad as Crissy boy's hair.

  • @Sistererica I don't see what's wrong with the trousers meself. Sure I 'ad a pair of them back in the day

  • I still love Madness as did 20 years ago! ...btw : 4.11 =))))

  • Como su nombre dice " madness ", ( locura ), eran pura locura, pero muy, pero que muy profesionales en la musica.

  • just gorgeous

  • Uno de los 20 mejores??? TOP FIVE sin dudas

  • I remember buying the sheet music for this in 1985 to play on the piano, but I didn't have a clue how the tune went and so gave up. Later I bought the 12" a couple of years later. I never learned to play it,

  • one of my absolute favourites from Madness . all there songs is good but the later stuff is even better .

  • signified the end of an era to me ... and of my childhood, the boots an braces got hung up and ppl moved on ... very emotional watching this

  • @1Gsxrider

  • Kenny Dogleash

  • nutty!!

  • Estoy de acuerdo, es uno de los mejores temas lentos si .

  • This is one of my favourites - just love their sound - the saxaphone - just makes you want to get up and dance!! They are FANTASTIC! Saw them live in Glasgow on Saturday - what an atmosphere!! Just brilliant!

  • es verdad, es un excelente tema de Madness , con la sencillez que caracteriza a los grandes grupos. No me canso de escucharlo.gracias por subir el video

  • that sounds like soul music from the sixties ; good tune.

  • One of the nutty boys finest tunes.

  • excellent song...........probably one of the best Madness tracks ever and possibly one of the best mid 80's tracks

  • Cool man!!!

  • Es verdad lo que decis, es una cancion muy conocida, pero muy pocos saben que es de esta gran banda, tal ves porque se aleja de la tipica onda divertida que fue característica de Madness. Must be Love es otra gran cancion de ellos.

  • In the 80's I was never a skin head but I was a MOD though. 2 tone jacket and doctor martins.

  • I like them. I see they only had 3 hits in the US so maybe that is how I missed their music! Great stuff!

  • I'll be damned if this isn't one of the most 80s things I've ever seen. Anyone who would mistake this for something from any other decade confirms a sub-normal IQ.

  • NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO ANNA xD xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • no no NO ANNA xD lol xxxxxxxx

  • YES YES YES VICKY x) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Waiting for the ghost train and now even in this video I've stiil noticed that the piano player is missing. How come?

  • Mike Barson left Madness in 1984, to live a more sedate life in Amsterdam. Still lives there, I believe.

  • Thank you!

  • me loves cahs smash :D xxxxxxxxx

  • oh we know ;) suggs is the hottest any day xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • we love you madness

  • this is a fantastic song , growing up as a skinhead in 1980's i always found this quite melancholic and now as 41 year old even more so as i have become one of yesterday's men

  • @rottenlydon

We all are my friend..... we all are!!

I'm 40 and like you the Two Tone movement was massive in my youth when my life laid ahead and all my dreams were unfulfilled.......

Now........ my best years are behind me and I still have unfulfilled dreams.

  • @rottenlydon ,,,same here bro but im 42 and a old nutty boy

  • @rottenlydon funny thats exactly how I feel and im 41 still live in the 80's in my mind anyway where does time go.........

  • @rottenlydon Cool words, I'm 41 too , but still a heavy metal kid. Cheers from Spain

  • @rottenlydon agreed..........

  • Madness one the iconic 80s groups! Just good music and a little nuttiness!

  • the nutty boys are awesome not one of there songs is bad and everyone will make you hum loudly

  • I have to admit, that I really hate this video. I love Madness' videos and the song itself is really great but I just can't stand this one

  • so good.

  • precioso tema para los cachondos de madness un gran tema

  • One word somes this band up well... UNDERATED

  • the ending is classic lmao

  • OH That dance they do

    fantastic song

  • iam 45 , ive a wedding , came in from pup, fukin wiked, love u madness, always part of my life, my motto fuk them all

  • this song rocks

  • I love madness! I heard them at Glasto and fell in love with them. They are really cool and I love their videos. I hate it how everyone thinks that all 15 year olds should listen to the rubbish nowadays. You don't get anything like this now.

  • i'm 15 and i've always loved madness. i know what you mean about all the rubbish that most 15 year-olds listen to though. loads of effed up chavvy RnB and crap rap. urgh!

  • i know, RnB sounds all the same to me, i couldn't honestlt tell the difference, and rap isn't even music! its just people talking really fast with a beat that i swear is used on every rap song.

  • Go for it

  • Give Madness that overdue Brit Award. Superb show at Glastonbury!

Can't imagine life without their tunes!!

  • I Love The Song Yesterday's Men by madness i think it's awsome well i do some people think it's cool & Okiie

  • una masa madness, q recuerdos de colegio me traen!!

  • this was when they were starting to get more serious but still a great tune

  • Achingly poignant......from a (deceivingly) subtle band of musicians

  • its a pity they broke up they where getting better and better this song and better day where two off there best songs

  • the new album is out this week ..

  • I don´t really think so. I like their older albums better. Mad not mad is not very good IMO, only songs Uncle sam and Yesterdays men are nice, the rest is boring. I prefer One step beyond and Absolutely

  • i love all there albums equally. ALL OF THEM. i love 100%. no song is bad. i repeat NO SONG IS BAD :D

  • If i remember rightly this was madness's parting song before they split (then got back together again). Love the sentiment and the hope. Things do get better in the long run, no matter what happens. Its down to us to push on and make it so????

  • yeah.. and its great how Madness have, one way or another, kept going

  • my personal favorite of Madness.Saw this as a premiere Video clip on SKY TRAX.some of you remember Pat Sharpe(+Ronnie the Runner),Gary Davies,Ray Cokes???those were the Days my Friends!

  • not bad song seems there was only 6 mr barrson had giving up on the band great song

  • From today, I have a new motto: It must get better in the long run.

Things are crap right now, but time is a great healer and it has to be better in the long run :-)

  • things dont stay crap for long, trust me,they will get better in the long run

  • madness forever!!!!!

  • Thats what i love about madness, it wasnt all about 'baggy trousers' there were serious tear jerkers that tugged on the old heart strings. No doubt about that. Its a rare gift to be able to make people laugh one minute and cry the next, madness just have that ability.

  • Mark said that it was their thoughtfulest album.

  • great song

  • Madness videos were some of the best ever made in the 80s.

  • definatly.......!

  • Suggs thought this album was overproduced, but a lot of the stuff in the 80s was.

  • cmyth wrote a lot of song on the mad not mad lp. he is musicians a lot.

  • Yesterday's men hang to today

To sing in the old-fashioned way

It must get better in the long run

Has to get better in the long run

this is a great song. reminds me of my friends when they joined my class and left

  • Top band, watched them live at Aintree racecourse Dec 07 then again March 08 also at Aintree . Both concerts mega... they`ve still got it ... the place was jumpin.. proper "NUTTY "

  • MADNESS BEST BAND IN THE 80S

  • i met chas smash in my local!! what a dude!!

  • did you?

  • And it so bloody did get better in the long run.....

  • Love this, a band singing about being past it in one of their great songs.

"When your race is run and you already know" great.

  • Brilliant

  • i like all of your madness vids

  • look at carls trousers, pathetic.....

  • It's a joke man, it's not serious...

  • HEY YOU!!!

i know, I'm just stating the fact that they don't go with that t-shirt...

  • i agree lol c his hips at 1.50

  • oh my god, the last part made me laugh really really hard

    haha

  • not really a madness fan,but this is brilliant

  • I LOVE MADNESS

  • Thanks for the excellent upload.MisterX07.My favourite madness song ever.A+++++++++++

  • This is one of my fav madness songs

    =)

de lo mejorcito para bailar lento! jajaj

    increible

  • mad not mad for me was the best album they ever did and i was around from the 1st album and still remember my MIS muber 405

  • Although it's not true to their Ska/based Style,I always loved this song.Get a chance,check-out Sugg's version of The Beatles 'I'm only Sleeping' and his version of James Brown's 'I Feel Good'.

  • Its from mad not mad and the whole album is outstanding in spite of Mike Barsons absence. The next effort was horrible though!!!

  • this is probably one of their best songs. incredibly underated. And also ironic.

  • I agree, its definitely one of there best. Poignant, reflective and mellow. just as we all get with maturity.

  • me encanta madness, vivan susa canciones,

    ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡madness forever¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • and fantastic quality thanx

  • Wouldn't it make more sense if they sang this when they're much older?

  • Maybe, but at the time they did this they thought it was going to be their last album together. The band was splitting up, and they were being talked about in some parts of the music press as being past their best (which was a bit unfair, but that's what was said by some journalists).

Luckily for us they kept getting back together to do even more new music! :-)

  • Probably my favourite Madness number.

Great sound quality too - thanx for sharing.

  • Ok my friend! Thank you for rate my video!

  • wot a song. a dont think people realise how good this number is. mad not mad int bad either esp time.
