From my perspective, Ron Paul -- an anti-abortion Christian Reconstructionist who addressed the John Birch Society and said he would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 -- is much closer to a typical Republican than Obama is.

Just to point out a fact about Texas: graduation rates are severely impacted by the presence of illegal aliens in schools, which also cost a great deal to the education fund, as well as the overall job market. It's a fact, not a bias. You cannot simply make a blanket statement about job or education statistics without taking into account the individuals who make up those statistics.
