@15simpson15 I think ur confused mate. Ballack has had 42 goals since his app w/ Germany in 1999, Gerrard less than half that w/ 19 goals since 2000. Not to mention, Gerrard hasn't done shit with the England side except allow them to get raped by Germany in the 2010 WC. Whereas Ballack led Germany to the 2002WC final, 2006 WC semifinal, and Euro 2008 final, Gerrard wasn't cap until 2010WC and we all know what happened there.

@15simpson15 If you do not want to compare the players with statistics, then I suppose we would have to look at results. And the results show that Ballack is a far better leader than Gerrard could ever hope to be. To be honest, as good of a player as Gerrard is, he is not a very inspiring leader as evident from 2010WC.

@dhlfh well i suppose you do have a point although its actually not really fair to compare gerrard with xavi and iniesta coz theyre very different players they play a more central role whereas gerrard is mmore of a box to box player ..... but the single handed bit was more to do with ballack who undeniably carried both germany and leverkeussen to wc and cl finals single handedly unlike xavi and iniesta who are important but are still only one of the factors in spains success

Man i was desperate when Ballack got injured so close before the World Cup. But the german team is doing an awesome job, even without him. So what can I say.. GO GERMANY!
