  • In complete agreement! I like both but I grew up more with jamiroquai, amazing band!!

  • Up there with Elvis , Freddie and other amazing singer's past and present.

  • Jay Kay = The Cool love you guys...from the US

  • This guy would've lost on American Idol "cause he wears a phunkee hat....

  • the coolest dancer on the planet!

  • Sounds just like it should... nice one the band and the BBC. This show's worth the licence fee. But I don't believe this was 1995, as advertised. I was hoping for the original line-up... no offence to the current crew – it sounded awesome.

  • Note to petrolhead Jay Kay... er, Emergency on Planet Earth! When you gonna learn? Thanks for the first three albums but maybe you should listen to them again... IMHO, when Zender and Smith baled, the wheels came off the Jamiroquai juggernaut. No offence to the new guys, but...

And I don't imagine the original fanbase is too impressed with yet another song about cars. Travelling Without Moving should have been the end of it (great live version of that recorded at Abbey Road is here somewhere).

  • @JayBlanche This song is about sex not cars you fool...

  • Jay Kay is one true bad ass!!!

  • sexy solo 6:45

  • como se mueve el petiso jaaj

  • Which song are they playing?

  • I love every album of Jamiroquai! Dynamite, Funk Odyssey and Synchonized my favorites!

  • jamiroquai sold out to pop.

    funk oddysy = fail

    dynamite = fail

the first three albums were perfect and original but after that jamiroquai went down.

i wonder what the new album will be like????????????????

  • @soniq351 You could be a bit fair, i wouldnt call them albums a fail, there style has just changed allot, but ye i prefer the older albums. But i like the new ones.

  • @menamesjames last 2 jamiroquai albums fail they sound like goerge michael.

    jamiroquai ended after synkronize.

the band now should be called "jkaypop"

  • different style but you re a genius i love your voice and all lol i wiuld like to dance with you !!!!! lots of love

  • One of the best live performer ever existed.I'm serious

  • JK¨s voice sounds a little odd in this performance. It´s like he lost his voice a day before.

  • pure genius...these newcomers could learn a thing or 2 from TRUE MUSICIANS!!

    phunkidruma

  • Is it me , or are the vocals completely canned?

  • Why argue? If you like Stevie W. and you like JK/Jamiroquai....listen to both. No need to say one is less or more. They are two different performers....lighten up.

  • I'm not arguing I love JAM,but alot people of today have respect whats hot today only. They fail to acknowledge musical genius of one music's innovators, but praise the clones and knockoffs to the high heavens.

  • Exactly. Thats what i always think too when I see all these comments on YouTube. Its so senseless... People should widen their horizont and enjoy the diversity of music instead of argueing like school-boys.

  • love the jk ive liked him for over 11 years

  • jools was wrong on his own show, jamiroquai was on jools 4 times, 97,99,01,05...

  • Jamiroquai my favourite band!

All the albums are so great and every single song it's a master piece

Maybe they had change a lot but they will be always super great musicians

every live act it's soo soooo goood

Cheers for Paul Turner! master of masters

  • As far as I'm concerned, Jamiroquai, before they became bastardised with session musicians after Stu and Toby's departure were the last ounce of true, non-manufactured genuine musical talent in British charts.

  • all you people dissing can write your own song about your black ferrari enzo.

    hmm....

  • "i agree that stevie wonder is talented but he aint a patch on jamiroquai" haha I love jamiroquai but wtf?!

Jay has obviously been influenced by Stevie - it's hard not to be. Nothing wrong with that.

  • stevie wonder is the greatest no question

  • Damn... if only all radio hits were so funky and musically inclined I would actually start listening to radio :)

  • Fuckin' AWESOME Geezer!! This MaN & His Band are a BLINDER!!!

Get Funky With Your Bad Self!

This is My Kind of Shit!!!

    The Daddy Funk xx

  • tight as toast .

  • your the joke if you don't like them! 80,164 views on this vid alone. virtual insanity has 3 and a half million views!

  • or.......possibly the most amazing band in the world.

  • and for you who is the best band of the 90s??? is it blink 182?!?!?!?! ... oh, sure their music is the best for you, stupid child...

  • hahahahahaha, "u stupid child". nice, i agree wth ya dude, u really are a stupid child. hahahahaha, wana go play tag? or listen to some blink? pffft, wat a spon.

  • spon... woops, now im the dik hed... (spoooooon, like hte tool u use for eating soup:) ya spoony.

  • best band of the 90s.not only.best band in the world, best music in the Universe.you just need a kick in the butt you n00b

  • actually technically they were the third most successful band of the 90s after oasis and the spice girls lol. i think i know who i prefer lol.

  • i'm sorry you cannot say they lack originality, they are totally unique in every way lol AND DON'T SAY STEVIE WONDER!!! they sound nothing alike.

  • i reccomend that you watch the interview with jay kay on his music videos and other interviews on youtube b4 you start talking about things which you obviously know nothing about. i agree that stevie wonder is talented but he aint a patch on jamiroquai. if you still think jamiroquai lack talent, 25 000 000 album buyers disagree with you lol.

  • That has to beone of the funniest posts i have eve read on youtube.

  • dude I really like Jamiroquai, Jay Kay's a great singer in his own way, and they have some of the best hooks in modern music, but Stevie Wonder is in a different league, Im sorry, but its just so true.

If you want to talk statistics, Stevie has had 20 US number ones, and sold over 100 million albums.

He also started recording aged 11, and is a multi-instrumentalist as well as excellent singer and songwriter. On his 1973 album innervisions he played all the instruments. 'nuff said.

  • i'm not denying that stevie wonder is one of the most talented men who ever lived and i never said that he is less successful than jamiroquai. In my opinion however, the music produced by jamiroquai is better, funkier and also it never gets old. Some of stevie's songs are starting to sound a little dated now.

  • This is so sad, some of you all know nothing about FUNK. I love Jamiroquai but they will never reach Stevie Wonder status.Part of the world(US) knows nothing of Jamiroquai.Stevie Wonder is GLOBAL. Stevie has 22 Grammys, the most won by any artist google it

  • Stevie Wonder isnt really funk, though is he? Most of his stuff is soul, only some of his much earlier material could be called funk, songs like higher ground and superstition.

  • what a pointless argument. jamiroquai has done a ton of music too, bossa nova, jazz-funk, samba, ballads, r&b, rock, electro-funk...just be happy bands like jamiroquai are around keeping the funk alive. if it's good enough for stevie (he really likes their material) it should be good enough for you.

  • My argument is NOT pointless! I love JAM and they were clearly influenced by Stevie 's music, but they have a way to go to get to Stevies level.

  • um..ok. yeah. well, so does just about every other musician. this is why your argument is pointless. jamiroquai can be great without being better than stevie wonder. they're in different eras doing different types of performance. get over it.

  • Mate, I think your completely wrong. Your entitled to your opinion, but im sure the 77,000 people who have watched this would disagree.

  • I agree

lol aweful ! Not even after a few drinks or some oxy

    King of funk!? please

see some james brown vids ..or check out the real kings(after jb)

    mark farina/ derrick carter

  • u must be joking james brown is all the same ps this performance is weak for jamiroquai and these songs are NOT FUNK SONGS!!!!!!

  • this song sucks balls. but jamiroquai are amazing!

  • jamiroquai are amazing, this song doesn't suck, you have to get used to it. i would reccomend listening to a different version though this is fairly weak.

  • te amooo jay kay

  • The guy at the beginning... hahaha... when he introduced Radiohead when they played it was hilarious i thought.

  • that's Jools Holland man, the king of England

    Dont diss the king

  • no, i know the guy is fucking awesome, but he's also hilarious in his own way, i meant no disrespect i watch all of the jools holland videos on youtube

  • Love it, shame the hat got smaller

  • I really love the band but I hate to say that I don't like black devil car and feels just like it should.

seven days in sunny june is great.

  • their old albums were better

  • Smooth funk

  • REAL MUSIC! the king of funk still has it. Jay Kay has been singing professionally since 1992 and now in 2008, there is a new album on the way, i can't wait! Not as good as the main vein performance though!

  • new album!? I thought he was done after Dynamite? I am first in line!

  • YESSS!!! JAMIROQUAI IS THE BEST LIVE BAND EVER! and you're right, jay is the king of funk! a genious.

  • no, i think you'll find a certain JB is the king of funk!

  • WORD

  • Damn that wah pedal sounds awesome. Anyone know what wah the guitarist is using?

  • my guess is an ibanez demand or an older model.

  • I'm pretty sure it's a Jim Dunlop Model.

  • haha, the man on the bongos is going bananas around 02:36 and forwards. Right on!

  • It's ok to make different music on every album, but not to have so many band members changed.. I mean, the bassist, is this the second or third one since Zender left? Man.. I miss Zender, Buchanan, and Toby Smith.

  • Agreed, but Paul T rocks too =).. in his own way

  • @pilsenschop get over it. Thats the music industry. Thats living in a band. Some people change their priorities and leave - others get kicked out because they are pains in the backside or have massive egos. Enjoy it for what it is.

  • @pilsenschop , a bassist is a bassist, how can u say u miss them ? fuck sake man, get a life

  • @Raybrennan17 you are the one that needs to get a life, replying to something I said over 2 years ago. really, what's wrong with missing a great musician whose style and technique helped to develope the band's sound? you obviously don't care about that, you wouldn't mind if all the band members where some session musicians as long as Jay hits the right notes, you retard.

  • @Raybrennan17 You say that band members can just be replaced? What about when those band members are contributing to/ writing that funky music? You have to know that Jay doesn't singlehandedly write every song.

  • Fabulous. Great playing, great singing and good songs. Jason Kay is so obviously influenced by Stevie Wonder (Who isn't). It's great that younger bands are pumping out good funk like this today. Keep on funkin' JayKay!!!

  • i'm so glad that musicians like this exists...nowadays everybody is listening to some reggeton daddy yankee's bullshit that is not even music. He's retired..right?

  • Nope new album coming in 2008.

  • dude, this guy's is taleeeeenteeeed. man the records are musicaly amaziiing...really, quiality music.

  • why is the bass player hidden behinf the singers :(

  • Yes it does feel greatly! JMQ=4ever!!!

  • jamiroquai feel just like it should.

    xxx

  • The worst JMQ song, same like DU.

  • yeah..it grew on me a lot, but still definitely not in my top 25. worse: black devil car, hot tequila brown, hell..let's list all of dynamite save 2 or 3 tracks.

  • I totally agree, BDC and HTB are the worst songs. Dynamite is the worst album. Shame.

  • lol I kinda agree - the earlier stuff was VERY different and thats what made them so good. I wish I was clubbing it when they were pumping cosmic girl and virtual insanity.. they were the good times

  • Their earlier stuff WAS different..and thats a good thing..bands, just like people, should change, as long as they keep the same level of greatness, which they do!!

  • To each their own, people have a right to their opinions, if someone has a favorite song, they're gonna have a least favorite, same with albums.

    I think its all great!!!

  • Jamiroquai rocks!!!!

  • fucking great men !!

  • he just got better and better throughout that performance...

  • wow what a great live performance!

  • guitar is ace in this

  • yeah he's hot and good at dancing but this is definitely not as good as old jamiroquai

  • fucking hell. i'm in love.

  • all of the dynamite album...interesting as it was released a year later

  • Excellent Video. JK nailed this one

  • ohhh im in love with this man x
