We had a similar storm down here in the Houston area two years ago. My reaction was pretty similar to yours considering our forecast was also not calling for anything too severe.
What part of houston are you in? I live on the west side and have seen maybe two storms that were cool to watch in the last three years. Most of the cool storms seem to be elsewhere in houston.
yea from spring to tomball get some good/bad storms depending how you look at it. I grew up in Aldine and we had a tornado touch down in my hood back in may of 1983.
