I know Loiuse wouldn't have given the girls the best song choices perhaps but at least if he got the girls I think Gamu and Kerri would have got through and he would have fought a bit harder for Gamu then Cheryl did because he just loved her and Cheryl couldn't notice the raw talent past the hype of Katie and Cher

Plus, gamu turned out to be an illegal immigrant so couldn't have stayed in the show anyway :)

I really don't think the judges (maybe apart from Simon) have as much say in who goes through as we think. Why this girl wasn't given more air time is so confusing. For me she was my favourite. Katie was awful....still liked Cher but it should've been Rebecca, Gamu and Keri going through. But as said Cheryl probably didnt have as much input as we think. I just watched a clip where Katie is told she goes through. Look at Cheryl's face when she tells her, its not the face of someone who liked her.

IMO Keri has the package and is a lot better than some of the acts that have made it into the final 12. It's obvious to me by the limited coverage she was given over the past few weeks, given her talent/image/live performance experience, that the producers made the decision to send her home long before she made it to the judge's house. For whatever reason, I think they didn't want to risk the public warming to her. If so, she might have actually won, and that is not part of The Plan.

@roarul My guess is that by the time the first auditions are actually aired on TV (months after being filmed), the show pretty much knows who's going to be in the live finals, so they give almost all of the on-screen attention to those people.

On the one hand it makes perfect sense, because at least we know what the live finalists are all about. On the other hand, people like Keri Arrindell really do get the short straw. She got so far, but we hardly got to see or know her.
