  • There's emotion, okay. You also play it well it's just that you lack timing.  Maybe because you lack expertise on the song. Practice more and it will be fine. You can start together with the tape and you'll end at the same time if you practice more..4 stars

  • I have the exact sheet music she is playing and I have to say.. she doesn't play it very well. Very robotic and unemotional. Anyone can learn notes on the piano... you have to have some character and emotion in the way you play... lead up to phrases, etc. This sounds as simple as a midi file.

  • Jesus, a little harsh? I play by ear and have never been able to learn how to read sheet music, so no, not anyone can learn notes on a piano.

  • The original chord is Eb minor by Jewel, and I also did a piano vid of me playing it. Listen to mine and the song, and you'll see. :P Good playing though. Sounds perfect. just needs to be a 1/2 step up.

  • Absolutely beautiful! The only thing that somewhat bothers me is the clicking that occurs later in the recording, which interferes with the song.

  • the sheet music is available at a music store like sam goody....they sell those u know! - i have the PIECES OF YOU music booklet - but we learned it differently than that - i only know the beginning but sounds better the way we did it - ...the version here is the album version....

    i learned the single intro - ;) but thank you!

  • no it should not - it's copyrighted!!!! - that's like saying the song should be free - which it's not....

    no wonder they love ruining things for the people on the internet b/c of people that think everything should be free!

  • The fact that a song is copyrighted means that you can't COPY the song and make money (by selling cd's and touring around) out of it saying it's yours. Jewel can make a book with all her songs written down on paper for people who would like to play it, and I think she should do that for free, because music is for everybody.. It's like DaVinci made a painting and you make people pay to watch the painting. You should only pay if you want the painting for yourself. So sheetmusic should be free!

  • apparently u don't understand the copyright laws - even sheet music is copyrighted - says so right on the book!

    they can make money off of their music,that's why it's not free.

    what you're saying is almost like saying that all books should be free - because they are written down in a book - does that seem fair to you?

    jewel didn't just sing it - she wrote the song - it was like a mini book so to speak.

  • You know, I agree with you. Still if I were an artist as big as Jewel, I would give the sheetmusic for free to everyone (on the interent ofcourse) so that the whole world, poor or rich, could be able to play my music. I mean, and I hope you agree with that, any artist as big as jewel can make his living without having to make people pay for SHEETmusic. But I bought her cd, so I will just listen very good to the song and play it by ear :)
